The Teenagers - "Make It Happen"
Merok has to be applauded for doing such a good job with what we can always assume is a limited alt-video budget. It does a good job of strengthening the Teenagers brand, and utilizing Tron technology. It's also positive that they went back to the "Starlett Johansson" model of making kute/orgasmic faces into the camera.
Cut Copy - "Hearts On Fire"
I think the Cut Copy music video era peaked when "Saturdays" was made. I don't know how I feel about the image of the Cut Copy guy "acting" in this video. But I feel kind of badhttp://www.blogger.com/img/gl.link.gif 4 him, though, because sometimes when I don't get tugged for a while, I feel like it's raining on me no matter what I try to do to get my mind off it. Maybe I have always had a different vision of what ur Hearts being on Fire meant. In my head, it involves Grey Goose, Sparks, alt broads, tugjobs, drunk txt messages, DJs with masks on, and other stuff that would make my heart be on fire 4 some1 to reach out to them 2nite. Overall, the video reminds me of how awkwardly underwhelming videos for good/upbeat songs can be, kind of like the video for Phoenix's "Too Young."
Tal Bachman - "She's So High"
If this song is remixed by 2010's best producers, it could really be 2009's "Young Folks."
Seen any good music videos lately?
