New alt tween MTV show Skins uses AnCo's "My Girls" in opening scene

A bunch of ppl emailed the ALT REPORT TIP LINE, saying "Hey, check out the totally alt tween MTV show called Skins. It is a reinterpretation of a similar show from the United Kingdom, sorta like how America 'stole' The Office. U should really watch it, Carles. At least the intro. It features the hit song "My Girls" by Animal Collective."

From what I understand, SKINS is supposed 2 be some sort of show abt alternative teenagers who live a tragic life where they just get effed up, do drugs, and 'fuck 1 another.' From what I understand, that is what usually happens to most teenagers, except it isn't branded as 'tragically beautiful', unless u are progressive enough 2 find "16 and Pregnant" 2 be 'beautiful/tragic.'

I watched the intro of this show. I can confirm that Animal Collective's "My Girls" was playing.

Here is the opening of the show. There is some alt girl wandering the streets of suburbia after a hard nite of partying.

Then there is some other bro in bed. It seems like they just used the pseudo-meaningful Garden State era technique 2 have him look 'emotionally void' straight in2/past the camera.

Then some naked milf lady appears in a window.

I wonder if Animal Collective is 'pissed' that Skins 'misused' their song.
Or do u think they 'beautifully integrated it' with the show?

Should AnCo 'sue' Skins?
Is Skins a 'pile of shit' show?
Is 'the British version' of anything 'way better than the American version'?
"OMG why doesnt MTV actually play music any more??!?" -some1 in the 1990s trying to have a progressive opinion
What is ur favourite MTV show? 16 and Preggers? Jersey Shore? The Real Housewives of Suburbia?
Should Animal Collective change their 'official video' 2 this Skins intro segment?
Is Skins an authentic portrayal of alt teens, or just the obvious 'trying 2 hard 2 be controversial' show?
Will Skins be on the air longer than MASH/Law & Order?
