The letter "X" is the most prevalent symbol of straight edge. Commonly it is worn as a marking or tattoo on the back of one or both hands, though it can be displayed on other body parts as well. Some followers of straight edge have also incorporated the symbol into clothing and pins.

Thank god this is over the for the most part in life. Over as in I don't have to see kids walking around with X's on the back of their hands, etc.Save for the few stragglers who only wrote EDGE on their public myspaces after seeing To Catch A Predator.
Are st8 edge and , Hardcore kids one and the same? Both them shits are annoying as hell.Its still popular in nowheresville towns in america and europe. Untill they move to the 'big city' and start listening to Ed Banger.
Maybe I'm just pointing out the obvious, and maybe Portland isn't the only city that does this, but this is how it works:Str8 edge kids=scene/punk kids, but let's not get the punkrs into this.Scene kids eventually turn into indie kids created by the mall.Indie kids created by the mall eventually turn into legit hipsters.Legit hipsters eventually drop the indie rawk to start listening to electronic music.I'm only a few steps ahead of the current str8 edgers.
