I once dressed like that at an 80’s theme party, and nobody got it. Cholo fashion was a real part of the 80’s for those of us who grew up in El Chuco (Chicano hipster term for El Paso, TX), but isn’t around much anymore. I agree with fernando about that. Some of us still think it looks much cooler than shaving your head and wearing sagging pants.
