As I continue to search for the answer to ‘why I like Lifelike’ from a psychological standpoint, I think that his sound reminds me of ROLLER RINK era music. LIFELIKE seems to be one of the most effective remixers of ’songs where women may or may not be singing cheesy lyrics in a 90s cliched sort of way,’ and he really makes the aesthetic work.
I’d put it in the genre of songs that ‘you only heard once, in a context that wouldn’t allow you to find out the name of the song, and will probably never hear again because it’s probably a random remix by some classic producers and I don’t know enough about electro-dance-house to ever reunite me with this song.’
I think this particular mp3 reminds me of “Electric” by Rubies.
