ANORAAK, one of the proudest sons of Valerie, has been doing a bunch of shows in Europe, and he was recently a Myspace featured artist. He doesn’t have anything new, but I still cream my pants when I listen to his songs.
When will ANORAAK come to America? When will he be commissioned to produce a song for Madonna/Good Charlotte/some other mainstream artist that wants to purchase a new sound for their upcoming album that ’sounds like nothing the world has heard before’?

Sometimes I feel guilty when I don’t [RECOMMEND] enough mp3s, but I am actively sampling mp3s from the blog economy, and I am doing my best to only blog about songs that I actually enjoy/end up integrating into my own iPod experience. I don’t really have the ‘electro ear’ of a DJ, so sometimes a lot of the distorted/bangy electro hits don’t appeal to me as much.
What have been some of your favourite artists from the past 6 months that have gained a lot of blog steam? Ladyhawke? Pnau? Lifelike? DVAS? Fred Falke 2.0 remixes? Still into Crystal Castles Vs Health? Has any band or artist that you thought was pretty good just disappeared? HRO Remixes?

College & Maethelvin are the best from Valerie – blog about them a lot more. Also, Drop the Lime/Curses! is one of the best legit producers around and makes some great originals & remixes that straddle the line between srs bangersville & pop.
Also: Oh Astro, especially their song “Hello Fuji Boy.” It’s great mash-up pop by the guy who runs Girl Talk’s label.
