Their effort is actually a mammoth landmark in capturing the GHEYNESS of the original video for Alphabeat’s “Fascination.” The bro in this band looks like he is squeezing out a kute, pastel-coloured turd while he sings.
For every “Young Folks,” there are thousands of “Fascination”s that leave u wondering why some people think it’s so c00l to love Scandy Pop. Would u rather listen to BANGERS for the rest of ur life, or Scandinavian Pop?

have you tried varying your blog diet? i think you’re overdosing on HRO. it is the best blog currently blogging the blogosphere, but it can be kinda like eating too many sour patch kids. just read the message boards of your local newspaper’s online edition for a few days, and when you come back, HRO will tingle your genitals once again.

to answer your burning question… alt bro is the polar opposite of mainstream bro. essentially, scene bro wants to be an alt bro but may lay towards the middle of the spectrum. an alt bro is scene, but scene bro isn’t always alt.
i think of alt as a lifestyle, always reppin’ a ‘lifestyle brand’. an alt lifestyle is more sustainable, and the ‘attitude’ carries through the different phases of the alt bro’s life.
scene bros are gimmicky and follow fads. scene bros are fake ass alt bros. or alt bros that try too hard. where i’m from scene bros went to shows to be ’seen’, they would stand around and act like fggts, instead of standing around and supporting the meaningful core bands.

the difference between scene and alt is easy! being “scene” is one step above emo where you have to act like a childish tool at all times and have disgusting, ratty hair extensions (for girls) or the sleekest straightest mullet (for boys and girls).
alt is just wearing crazy shit and being “ironic” and listening to m83 and stuff.
being a “scenester” however is like being a “hipster” i think because idk the cribs sang that song “hey scenesters” and i’m pretty sure they weren’t talking about our douche-y glorified emo friends.

Scene are people that do not make such unnecessary fuss about things. They are usually the first to discover the mainstream potential of alt. They go to alt places and hang with alt people just cause they wanna have a good time. But they dont do that boring “meaningful” shit.
Alt bros are the ones who are not actually part of the scene in the beginning. They go a little bit later than the scenesters. But they (at least pretend to) take it seriously. Difference: They dont look as good / Are basically rednecks / Have no style, just copy everything / Try to sell shitty products in order to make a little money out of the scene.
True scenesters are just way more relaxed. I like the scene better.

On the behalf of my Scandy dandys and Nordic brethren I wish to complement on a post that issues a discussion on the state of our geographical area’s alt pop scene.
We are flattered if you’d consider our music as “c00l”.
But the question is – could alt pop from Bosnia and Herzegovina that is fairly similar, become c00l to listen to? I’d say yes. So please don’t overconceptualize the Scandy pop brand before it gets out of hand. Because if being able to like and dislike and discuss the alt pop scene of a far away foreign country on a mature and sane level and hence be a part of a positive development of cultural globalization is c00l – then you’re a pretty darn c00l dude/gal.
