David Matthews is probably what music will sound like after the electro recession. His songs are meaningful. They rarely involve electronic instruments.
If I could only buy two stocks, I would buy Google stock and David Matthews stock. I think the only thing holding back David Matthews might be that he needs a whole band behind him. But he’s really cute, marketable, and very talented. He has a unique voice and interesting vocal delivery.
One day, we will view all of our concerts at outdoor amphitheatres which are named after Fortune 500 companies. David Matthews will be the king of these large-scale, outdoor intimate-settings.

The Hipster Runoffs did a pretty good cover of that song Coldplay gave away for free and told everyone to reinterpret. I don’t think their sound translates to an amphitheater setting though, which is a shame. They’ll probably just be washed up nobodies in a few years.

Wow I forgot how bad Dave’s lyrics are. I remember waiting outside of a CD Warehouse at midnight the day before EVERYDAY came out to get a copy before everyone else. Dear badkharmala,
DJ Mom Jeans and posts about a stabbing aren’t even HRO’s roots. Just because you started reading it then, doesn’t mean that was the beginning of it all. In fact, I’d say that the DJ Mom Jeans epidemic was the beginning of bad commenters and sucky posts.
Shit that Carles posts now isn’t even funny anymore. Last thing I laughed at was the photo from “Kreepie in the Middle” and it wasn’t even funny because of what HRO wrote or the comments stupid readers left about how the guy is fat or some bullshit, but because of the picture itself. And before that? I can’t even remember.
The fact of the matter is, HRO has completely lost it. It came with the Radiohead Remix explosion of readers.
So thanks a lot all you fucking loser readers who ruined HRO by begging for gay shit like stupid fashion “trends” and really “ironic” comments to go with it. It’s made HRO so fucking lame and painful to read now.

my dad listens to dave matthews.
NB my dad is NOT/never was a ‘cool dad’, albeit he was once in a funk band in ‘the 70s’ that ‘released a single’ once on a compilation. i dont think this would count as anything these days; i’m pretty sure i saw a ladyhawke song on a compilation once

they play this music called “hip hop”… it’s pretty dangerous and I think they might even be negroes, but these folks have really got a message and some snazzy rhythms to boot…

You do know that Dave Matthews is not a new artist at all and has been playing music since before you could walk? He has a solo album or two as well.
Another thing, he is South African only by birth. He has been in the States most of his life.
