I’ve been into satire/sarcasm-based humor ever since I could talk. It’s great when I know I can relate to my fave alt-celebs because they are on ‘the same level’ as me when it comes to ‘how we joke around with our BFFs.’ It’s a breath of fresh air to know that as an alt, the people I admire are on the same ‘intellectual level’ as me when it comes to humor/life/philosophy/women’s rights/racism/favourite character on shows like the Office, Arrested Development, and other shows that are sold in Seasonal DVD Formats for People to watch in Groups and Bond.

1. Girl Talk gets sillie when he talks about marginally talented video editors ‘mashing up’ music videos to go along with his fun lil songs.

2. The Guy with the big head from Deathcab for Cutie made a video that was intended to go ‘alternative viral’, and really did a good job of showing us that he has a ‘lighter side’ and ‘doesn’t just make music–he has other ideas when it comes to film and mockumentary-ish OFFICE type of humor.’
3. Here’s another funnie video that was underwritten by MTV to take Death Cab’s ‘meaningful core’ brand to the next level by adding a layer of identifiable quirkiness to them. S000 sillie/rand0m. WHERE DO THEY COME UP WITH THIS GOLD? MY BL0G NEEDS SOME BRIGHT COLOURS+RETRO AESTHETICS + NAPPY DYNAMITE-ISH HUMOR.
4. I like watching videos of my fave alt celebs ‘goin wild’ on camera. Here is Spank Rock doing a keg stand. hehe. ‘Alt Celebs Gone Wild.’ This guy should probs set a better example for the kids.
But SRSLY…what do yall think of THE OFFICE / humor that people think elevates them to a higher plane of ________?
Why can’t we go back to the days of the MOCKUMENTARY when we could just be ourselves?
Is ‘The Office’ alt or mainstream? Do yall watch TV? Does n e 1 that I would respect know the answers to these questions?

I dropped Desperate Housewives after I realized it was for… like… tranny grannys. But I still watch lost – it's quite exciting actually, nice moves by the script writers.
But I can't believe you didn't mention Flight Of The Conchords. Subtle humour alike The Office and Extras. And it involves really great music? Y'all should check out the show! Any broadcast network comedy sucks – it was bestowed the mainstream badge since day one given that it airs on the peaCOCK. Also since the original was on the BBC, the American version is simply that much more stoopid – lozers can't come up with an idea on their own. Get ready for another cum rag of a show when NBC tries to Americanize Kath & Kim this fall.

Actually, fellow alt, the US version of “The Office” is a remake of the BBC Original show. Therefore, anyone who claims to be a true alt and watch the US version of “the office” is way behind the trend and therefore a mainstream FGGT.
