HEY! i know you're talking about Arrested Development when you say "canceled-but-'friggin-brilliant' comedy series" and it IS friggin brilliant.those tools over at fox cancelled it and have some great quality programming in its place now. such as "Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?", "Don't Forget the Lyrics!", and "The Next Great American Band."
the altest cartoon was Fantastic Planny. When i saw it i was an entry-level alt on "mushrooms" and i "identified" with it and realized i had "found a group of ppl who would take care of me" through our journeys into obscure subcultures like "france."

It's alt-iest not retro... I hate reality tv but I couldn't get enough of "kenny vs. spenny". Watched all 4 seasons in a row on the torrents. Where else are you going to see the push over and the narcisist bring out the worst in each other.. ok so where were we. arrested devolopment was great. six feet under, anything martin sargent for the geeky alt, the short lived oblongs and mission hill.... props for vintage nick..... oh and tim and eric is hit and miss... but when it hits it hits HARD...
