Anti-Smoking Subliminal Public Service Ads for alts

If you are an entry level alt, your first reaction would be ‘LOL! A creature on a big t-shirt! s0 random!’

However, if you are an educated, socially+globally aware alt, you will realize that this picture was placed on alternative blogs by the people behind the world’s top anti-smoking campaigns. We see an image of a woman who represents beauty & youth wearing a dark-themed smock which features a skull. She is holding a cigarette, which according to scientists, completely trashes ur insides.

Even though u might laugh it off, u will remember this image every time u see some one who is mildly alternative having a cigarette.

Do yall smoke?
Is it unhealthy, or is that just ‘liberal propaganda’?
Is it healthy or is that just nu-wave Barry Obama progressive conservatism (Fiscal Responsibility Remix)?

Remember this funnie ad where that cowboy without a real voice sang a funnie song to the streets of New York?

Can some1 tell me why ‘a group of passers-by on the streets of Manhattan’ are an appropriate sample group to ‘represent America’?

I wonder what life would be like if our fave alt-singers smoked too much. :-(

Do u know n e 1 who still wears D.A.R.E. t-shirts to represent their thrifty, ‘hey remember quirky stuff from the past’ personal brand?

I blog is not even remotely close to being “alt”

This is a classic case of indie or alternative culture becoming ridiculously exploited.

People should stop encouraging this guy who was most defiantly not alt or whatever until about a year ago.

Crls is a classic example of his own term “entry level alt” the way he harps on constantly about all things alt is a clear give away.

For some reason with straightedge it always seemed the emphasis was on “don’t drink” and people neglected the “don’t smoke” and definitely the “don’t fuck” parts of the message.

It seems like radical abstinance / rebellion through being ultra-square is perhaps not as strong as nicotine addiction.

The only reasons why the D.A.R.E. shirts are cool is because Pedro Winty wore a neon one once, and Erol has an E.R.O.L. shirt. Kiddos wear their D.A.R.E. shirts because they are too poor to pay 30 pounds for a shirt.
