Big Buttons & Sillie Pants

Please Note: The People Pictured In This Post are from Iceland and do not represent reality.

Do I need to get a pair of puff pants now that summer is almost over? What’s going to be big in Fall/Winter 2k8 and 2k9.1? The thing that sucks about fashion is that there is no stability. That’s probably why we’re in an economic recession–there is no stability when it comes to the clothes we buy. When we have 2 waste money just 2 feel cool for the next 3 months, it really hits our ‘check book.’

Don’t know much about economic theory since I am majoring in graphic studies design history with a minor in anthrosociological communications, but I know what I see and feel–and that is worth more than any economist in the world who doesn’t even talk to people ever or get buzzed on the weekends.

Why do we have the need to feel cool?

We don’t even like sex anymore.
And meaningful mid-term reltionships are so alt-mainstream right now. Everyone entrance leverl alt at my college has one.

Watch out! Really anoying comment comming up:
I don’t think the girl in the last picture is actually Icelandic… She’s sitting in front of Copenhagen (Denmark) City Hall, but of course that’s far from any real reassurance of where she’s from. So true about the Björk thing though!

    Anyway POST MORE MUSIC!!
