Yall. I remember a year or two ago when girls thought Sufjan Stevens songs made their lives’ more meaningful. That was back when every1 was an ‘entry level alt’ because the essence of alt wasn’t very definitive. Back then, experimenting with altdom was like a blind person trying to feel his way through a busy city. No1 was really willing to accept that they were searching for ‘an authentic way of life’/didn’t know how to accept that. Glad it’s finally 2k8.75,yall.
I know that I ‘crush’ on a lot of female alt celebs, so I just wanted to know if Sufjan is hot/authentic. When he made the theme song for Little Miss Sunshine about traveling 2 Chicago, it was like he was the best thing since Ratatat. But now his personal brand might have gotten ‘a little bit too meaningful’ so he has kinda isolated the ‘trendy’ demographic, which I take kinda personally.

"Boys with Tendencies" is one of my new boy band projects. Requirements, totally straight, but you like to experiment with your feeling for boys everyone once and awhile. You have to be under the age of 26, and must maintain the hipster aesthetic. You don't necessarily have to be able to dance, but you must be able to play guitar, bass, synths, drums, and/or sing. You must be easily manipulated, because basically, I want to be a female version of Lou Perlman.
I will soon be holding closed auditions in my loft in Brooklyn – date is still TBD, i'll be sure to put out an APB once all the details are confirmed.
I have to give full credit to Richie Hawtin and Sven Vath for "turning me on" to this idea.

i think running a windows on a mac laptop will be quite big circa 2k9.4 – being able to play minesweeper while still retaining the ‘yeah-i’m-using-a-mac’ feel seems a good way to go
i just realised i’m using one of those old powerbooks… does that make me more authentic – in this ‘musty but chic’ kinda way – or just shows i spend a little too much on drinks and a little too little on necessary items?

Um, I love Sufjan. I always have, always will. Definitely listened to him before he went “mainstream” with his track for LMS. The funny part was that I didn’t even know he was christian till a year after I started listening to him. I definitely have a crush on him and would marry him, even though he looks like he grew up on a farm.
