That "gigapet" saves his life on a daily basis by being the way he tests his blood sugar level. If it goes too high all the time without him knowing it, he can get really sick. If it goes too low, he can pass out. And if you think it's funny that he's promoting the meter, you should see the insulin pump attached to him that delivers his insulin so he can stay alive.
