Turtle Necks: Big in Winter 2k9?

Turtle necks have usually been branded as ‘a lil bit douchey’ and ‘a lil bit uncool dad.’ This winter might be different. Turtle necks might tap into the post-post-ironic fashion economy, kinda like child pred glasses, tall tees, and even mom jeans. By being aware of what turtlenecks represent in the fashion economy, wearing one of them will tell people that ur personal brand is self-aware.

Wearing a turtleneck in 2k8/k9 will be a deliberate move.
It will be an opportunity 4 u 2 finally show ppl who u r.

I think we can all agree that the hoodie economy, the scarf economy, the pea coat economy, and the Palestinian Scarf economy already have too much competition/won’t leave u enough room 2 ’set urself apart.’

However, investing early in the turtleneck brand will pay off in the next several blog years.

Is the turtle neck an example of a ‘perfectly’ designed functional product?
Do u think the same people who designed the iPhone designed trtl ncks?

Is there any way that American Appy can make some sort of ‘convert my v-neck into a turtle neck’ kit? Just trying 2 stay current/ahead of what’s current.

help. What r u gonna wear this winter?

this is all im saying. ok good post, funny, whatever, but how can you honestly take this seriously??? i mean shit i own trtl necks. like 4 of em. and if they are trendy then cool. but anyone who reads this and then is all, “omg he’s right lets go get some trtl ncks and start settin the trend for the winter” is a RTRD. i just think if you have to talk about it or even acknowledge that its there then you’re not being authentic. just do it of your own accord. just wake up one day and go, you know what, im gonna wear this fuckin shirt i dont care who thinks its post-in-style. i do you love you crls, but i h9 the people that are fuckin serious about this shit. …in reality though a true-alt doesn’t go to hipsterrunoff.com because he has all the inspiration and ambition already in his head. he doesn’t need any additional input. a true-alt is all wrapped up and grilled to go.

I wear a lot of those polartec fleece pullovers with the zip neck and usually a nylon shell on top.

My mom keeps giving me turtlenecks but they remind me of the early 80s, when I was in highschool, too much.

There was this guy back in high school who used to wear turtlenecks so he could hide the hickeys that he had on his neck. He was basically keeping the hickeys a secret from everyone, but the funny thing is everyone KNEW WHY HE WORE THE TURTLENECK! Even the teachers knew.

I think my cousin did that too.
