iTunes Gift Cards: A Gift From Old People Who Don’t “get” you

‘Have yall heard of iPods? I heard my nephew/college-aged son of my family friend has one of those thingies. I was shopping at my local Walmart/drug store/grocery store and noticed that they had Apple cards that helped people 2 fill their iPods. This will probably be a good gift to show that I care about their progressive life. I don’t want to give them something that they won’t use. Every1 needs music.’
-an old person, 2007-2012

Don’t yall h8 it when some1 gives you an iTunes gift card? I wish I could explain ‘the way that I am’ to them, and the way that my music accumulation process works.

  • I read blogs that give me free mp3s.
  • I do not download albums.
  • I do not download mainstreamer albums.
  • I am a bro who accumulates music from the hypemachine.
  • The iTunes catalog does not have the [indie rarities] that satisfy my needs as a high level music consumer.
  • I don’t even listen to mp3s. I only listen to audio files in high quality WAV format, or AIFF format.

Just wish I could explain all this to old people who ‘don’t understand me.’ It just makes me sad that they don’t understand my personal brand. When they see this dreadlocked unisex silhouette bro, they make a connection to me.

Instead of buying me the Chili’s gift card, they opt to buy me the iTunes gift card. They don’t realize that I need 2 eat more than I need 2 buy a Coldplay album. Would rather have $10 to buy a lil bit of blow instead of a $25 gift certificate. Maybe they are just looking out 4 me.
s00 many choices. Luv when I have ‘flexibility’ [via KFC/TacoBell/PizzaHut]

Gift Cards are kinda like ‘art’ that makes u wonder about the modern concept of ‘free will.’ Does a gift card truly give u free will, or do gift cards actually limit our freedom to choose.our.own.adventure?

Closing paragraph in picture f0rmat:

iTunes gift cards: A Gift [via ass holes who don't know 'you'/'how ppl get music from the internet']

prescient. my uncle sent me an itunes gift card via email last night. gonna use it to download a smorgasboard of bloghouse, ‘bangers’, and mainstream tracks that get the alt treatment via remix. prolly gonna burn them to cd, send them via postal service back to him so he can relive his alternative daze at berkeley. we r gonna connect on a whole nother level and it will be gr8. itunes aids me via the beat of life. itunes = baby jesus of 08.

crls my birthday is on christmas and this year i think i’m just going end my life.

Last year for my 18th bday I woke up to hear the sound of my stepdad and brother packing up their suitcases to leave to go to Pittsburgh (my stepdads family). I asked them where they were going, and my stepfather came in close to my face and whispered in my ear you will be 19 next year, then left. When I walked into the living room it was littered with ripped gold paper from my brothers various xbox360 and wii games. I didn’t receive a damn thing and I had no idea where the fuck my mom was, and didn’t find out for another 3 days. When she finally came home after alcoholic binge she gave me a VHS copy of Blow. WTF we don’t even own a tape player. She then told me she was waiting for me to be old enough to tell me that she doesn’t really know who my bio-father is. (its between 3 guys). The guy doing 15-life might not be my dad, and I might be Jewish.

CRLS I have had it with my family, what is the altest way to die?

Seeing that I was born on christmas and apparently a Jew, should I hang my self from a cross? or poison myself in my neighbors front lawn nativity scene in the place of baby jesus?

CRLS I just don’t want to live to see another bday/xmas.

Last year my Uncle went to work to the U.S. (legally I swear), and I asked him to bring me a Mac, I would give him the dollars in cash (I live in mexico).
Well, months later he came back with the damn laptop, and along with it there was a 100 BUCKS – - – oh I still get mad when I remember this story – - A ‘one year subscription’ to .MAC, than included a totally useless .mac email, among other equally useless features,,,, It was the damn seller who convinced my Old clueless uncle the laptop needed this in order to function….

What did I learnt from this? No matter there’s a monetary crisis, Huge companies like this will survive thanks to the manipullation of our friendly, cluelessly nice old relatives.

Quit your fuckin’ whining. It would be one thing if you didn’t use Itunes because you like to buy the actual CDs or records but you just prefer to steal your music. Eff you! And as for the quality, I don’t see too many WAVs and FLACs pop up on Hypemachine. It’s all MP3s, so I doubt you don’t use them.

And yea, I know god forbid you like anything remotely mainstream, but no ones music taste can be so incredibly, craptastically indie that they can’t find $25 worth of music they would want on Itunes. What do you listen to? Only junior high school aged garage bands? Cunt.

OH MY GOD YOU UNGRATEFUL PRETENTIOUS PERSON.
get over it and i am sure there is some music on itunes that you would like, or maybe films? or are you too busy reading music blogs to watch films. I really think at least your uncle made the effort and didn’t just get you a book voucher. And no need to right some long rant about how angry you are when how the hell is he supposed to know what music you listen to.

US iTunes gift cards makes a great present for yourself or others. I found a great online store that I’ve used several times. Their service is quick and very efficient. The iTunes cards can be activated worldwide.
