Umm… this is the biggest waste of my time. Why is it funny to put quotations ironically around random words and say “y’all” and misspell everything? it’s not. No one actually talks like that. who are you making fun of?

it just sounds dumb. Some guy spent a whole day on his computer thinking, “animal collective is ‘hipster’, so i’m going to waste my whole day being ‘funny’. i’m going to be really pretentious, but because i do it ironically, it’s going to be soooo funny

I read this b/c the kanyegate 2.0 article comments mentioned this post. I could relate better to the Kanyegate article because I never heard “AnCo” so to it was more directly meaningful to me. After reading the comments though, I’m convinced this was still a great post because it was actually seems more meaningful to me than to the people commenting that were familiar with “AnCo”. Actually, I think all your posts are very good. Maybe the Kanyegate post stands out because it was timely and addressed a wider phenomenon that many internet addicts can relate to.

I think what he’s trying to say is they’re good and he likes them, but for people to jump onto the band even when they don’t give a shit about the music and are into the band just because it was Pitchfork or the internet is inauthentic.

I got into AnCo and MPP when I saw several ads and threads about them. I figured I’d give them a try, the reviews seemed pretty good. And I liked them. There have been a bunch of reviews on P4K that have gushed over some band that I just couldn’t get into.

P4K is by far the best review site or source, but I don’t always enjoy what they claim is good.

tl;dr. You’re meant to use it as a guide to what’s good. It’s no differerent than using a travel guide or word of mouth when you go on vacation.

there was nothing of intrinsic value related to anything about animal collective or anything at all for that matter. i’m pretty sure this is the last thing animal collective would want anybody to write about.. i don’t know what angle you could possibly be coming from writing in this horrendous style. it made my left eye twitch continuously and compelled me to kill any small animals within a 30 foot radius.
