At what point does Garden State become eligible for ironic/post-ironic rehabilitation and cannonization? I dread the day like it is testicular cancer but, unfortunately, see it happening at some point in time, possibly around 2k14 or so. Will there be retro parties where people dress up in old AmAppy handmedowns, drink pseudo Sparks made from future energy drinks and space vodka, dance to a “Pure Bloghouse” compilation that they ordered after seeing an ad for it on late night psychic television, and watch Garden State and a bunch of films by retired three star general/Senator Wes Anderson? Will these parties be held on the moon, with everyone driving there in flying cars?
