This Cover is pretty ‘alright’

We Have Band – West End Girls (Pet Shop Boys Cover)

Review: I am still trying to figure out how much/why I like We Have Band. I think I made a gimmick post about them where I called them ‘the next Metronomy’. Sort of wish they were around 2 years earlier during the golden age of bloghouse. Most covers are ‘kinda dumb’ and ‘forced’, but I think this one is ‘chill’ and ‘well-executed. The song ‘West End Girls’ is ‘good’ but also kind of ‘boring.’ Most 80s songs are ‘fun to know about’ but aren’t 100% listenable. Maybe it’s just because VH1 sort of memefied the 80s too much. Just think it’s fun to talk about ‘covers’ since u have something 2 judge the product against. laters

    mmm definitely the weakest thing ive heard from WHB. their other tracks aren’t bad at all.

    Dude, you’d better hope something “hip”and “cool”happens in the world of “blog music” soon, because this tune is just plain ASS. These asshats ruin one of the greatest pop songs ever. Full-on failure all the way around.
