Just saw a picture of three bros chillin’, bein’ creative. Wonder which bro would be the best bro the chill with?
Photo via Kanye Blog

Who do yall think would be the best bro 2 chill with?
Bro #1) He seems like a bro who is into cool shit, like culture and rap and stuff. Might be awkward to become BFFs with a black person if ur parents aren’t as progressive as they pretend to be.
Bro #2) Seems like a pretty cool post-Cobain type of bro. Might always be down to throw down an authentic rock n roll post-rock chill. Not sure if ur parents would want u hanging out with a bro who ‘looks like a drug addict.’
Bro #3) Seems like he is a cool bro who is always down to play some kewl riffs on a no-wave tribute song. Not sure why he is wear a shirt for a ‘flashy’ 46 year old mom.
WHICH BRO DO U WANT 2 CHILL WITH/BRING HOME 2 UR PARENTS AND TELL THEM IS UR BFF?
…BUT SRSLY….
Does n e 1 know why artists always have to ‘collaborate’? Feel like 95% of the time, it is pointless ‘co branding’ 2 make people feel like ur really ‘making new, beautiful art’ cuz u ‘don’t care about what genre u fall into.’ Maybe in the future we need 2 leave ‘mashing up’ to experts like The Girl Talks, and othe nite life DJs. Tired of these artists trying to piggyback off 1 another 2 ‘reach new audiences’/assuming that ‘authenticity’ or ‘pop appeal’ is a transferrable force.
Miss the days when collabs were ‘authentic’ and ‘exciting.’

WHATS UR FAVE COLLAB OF ALL TIME THAT CHANGED MUSIC 4EVER?

I would have to say I wanna chill with Kanye the most out of those three, if only to stab him in his thigh artery and watch him bleed out all over the mixing board.

@fool, kanye’s such a fuckin’ loser yall. so sick of him; never really ‘got’ his ‘music.’ don’t know why he thinks it’s authentic to be tacky and nouveau-riche [via durkl mind control volume 3]
when i ‘worked’ at jcrew uptown in college he came in and bought one pair of boxers on sale and all the black chicks working there ’shit a brick.’

remember when kanye collab’d with Chris Martine from the Coldplayas? And it was just like when he collab’d with TotallyGayBro from Mar00n V, but somehow not as authentic?
has anyone noticed how kanye has got ‘the killers’ pictured in his recording studio so soon after the world found out that phil spectbro was a killer with a recording studio? is kanye just trying to stay ‘on trend’?
think kanye has probly just photoshopped himself onto a picture of the killerbros to show lil wayne that he understand ’shit white people music’ too?

@SilverTell,
Thank you very much for the feedback. I’m trying really hard but I guess that’s part of the problem. I mean, to be totally honest, I thought Paragraph 4 was the weakest of the lot; it was really just a bit of an afterthought compared to the rest… Maybe I just need to trust to spontaneity in future.
Cheers.

@Bacon,
Since when is phil spectors murder case news? That’s been out for ages. I personally think he deserves a pardon for all the marvelous things he’s accomplished. Murder looks so minute in front of the Wall of Sound.
I’m terribly off topic today.

last best colab was woody guthrie / leadbelly.

@jrounles, dont think this counts has authentic cos i believe in the old days white people ‘owned’ black people. so leadbelly wasnt really ‘feelin it’, he just didnt wanna get put back in jail.
think it was a similar situation when Bing Cosby and ziggy stardust did that ‘Little Drummer Boi’ [via child predators?] shit back in the 1990s. not sure if it was a remix or not.
miss u Bill Crosby. think ‘cr00ning’ was probably the most authentic singing style.

@jrounles, ahhh, too true. u got me there. <3 woody.
never quite sure about the john & alan lomax bros though. Were they
a) authentic and humble appreciators of authentic ethnic musics,
b) exploitative & patronising crackabros, or
c) the middle ground – well meaning but ultimately totally inauthentic, like a 1930s equivalent of modern-day entrylevel altbros who feel ‘in touch with black culture’ when they put some jay-z on mix cds for their mainstrm friends.
just wish somebody would make me down a pallet on the floor, you know.

@jrounles,
Gutherie and leadbelly is a really good one.
Some of the very best collaborations were with many of the jazz greats. But they hopped around on eachothers records so much I wouldn’t know where to begin.

Truthfully we have no idea wether or not any celebrities suck, and truthfully you have no idea whether or not I’ve heard an mp3 or cd by said artists. Take ur hypotheticals & suck ‘em. Opinions regardless of wether or not they’ve been supported by truth does not always make them right or wrong [via 911, unibomber, and the creation of the federal reserve.]
