Review: The xx are four 19 year olds from London. Think that they seem pretty ‘kewl.’ Wish I could have made [HIGHLY BLOGGABLE] mp3s at age 19. I feel like the song seems 63% more intriguing when u see the entire band, and they ‘look cool.’ If you look at the band, they seem to have a ‘normal bro’, ‘fashion-y bro,’ ‘kewl looking fierce girl’, and ‘normal girl.’ Think these are 4 great identities to have in a band. I don’t think there is anything wrong with ‘liking music’ mostly because it ‘achieves an aesthetic that makes u feel kewl’ even when ur not sure why. From what I have read on wikipedia, this was a driving factor in the rise of bloghaus.
I also think that this song “VCR” might be ‘not that good’ but I think it might be honest and simple, and might be good to like put on a mix CD for a girl because there is a female singer on it.

I feel like a band like this might ‘get big’ in some sort of hybrid model that mixes that shitty band THE PLAIN WHITE T’s with Feist model. ‘ 1-2-3-4′ types of songs. Just like ‘simple music’ that ‘girls can relate to’ and that ‘guys don’t find to be unbearable.’ Feel like that is a band model to watch in 2k10.4.
Also thinks that this band ‘looks cool enough’ to look cool in magazines. I think that girls buy more magazines than men, so I think it is important to have a girl in ur band.
I feel like this band will have remixes by other authentic/conceptual bands that will help them build ‘a very authentic brand.’

Not sure if the “hybrid” concept will work… certainly doesn’t seem to work in the pr0n industry for example. On a typical pr0n aggregating web site,you get the blonde, burnette, AZN, Latina, black sections, but rarely you get a “mixed/hybrid” section.
From the lessons of pr0n industry, I would push for a conceptual alt. band with four Japanese schoolgirls… surely would be a big hit amongst white men in Midwest USA in their 40s.
