Yall. Looking at the cities that visit HRO the most. Trying to ‘get a better sense’ of who reads HRO.
From what I can tell, people in suburbia do not read HRO. People from ‘the city’ read HRO. I can conclude that only white people and rich people read HRO, because they live in ‘the city’ and ‘can afford rent/Macbooks.’

@brian, I think this list might have confused West Van with the west side of Vancouver (maybe even the West End as well?). Everyone new to town does that, so I wouldn’t be surprised if whoever figured out locations based on IP addresses did as well.

downtown (via skid row and the fashion district)
chinatown (via spitting asians)
lincoln heights (via three thrift stores around the same block and cheap tacos every direction you look) (and footsies).
if you were to put eagle rock, then mt. washington and atwater would make the list too, but they all are kinda stale.
west side alts are a different breed entirely. they are ‘richer,’ ‘busier’ and don’t ‘know’ as much about ‘culture’ (via not being broke and sensitive)

#137 Spokane, USA: closest Top 500 location to my whereabouts in the Canadian Wilderness. Sad that it’s closer than all the alt-Canadian cities… especially ’cause Spokane is a terribly unpleasant city. Also, there is a disturbingly high concentration of KKK in the area, but it is close to the Sasquatch Festival.
#221 Kelowna, Canada: Kamloops is close to Kelowna, and is far more alt, but didn’t make the list at all. I guess Kelowna does have an Am Appy… but it’s also the unofficial douche-bag capital of Western Canada.
