I saw this video, and it made me ‘yearn 4 the days’ of myspacers worth blogging about, a now-deceased HRO blog gimmick. It’s kinda weird how we’re all trying to express ourselves’, and it seemed like myspace used to be the best way for tweens to do this. U could post tons of pictures, and make ur profile ‘kewl kolours’ and add tons of embedded images of ur favourite shit that represented u.
Then myspace became a ‘graveyard’ of dead profiles, not just because facebook/twitter became more authentic/functional, but as internet-centric humans, we are in a neverending search for ‘the best way 2 express ourselves’ via the internet. Now that all tweens+humans have ‘high speed internet’ and cheap hi-enuff quality videocameras/’cameras inside of their phones’, the ability to show off your brand in video format is something that every1 can do.
Feel like I might need to develop a new gimmick, fresher than both Myspacers Worth Blogging About, and more ‘relevant’ than I Wish They Had Macbooks When I was a Tween.

Hi I am the girl in this video.
I represent a ‘tweenager’ trying to ‘figure out’ the cruel, random, shitty world around me. I made a music video. It was fun! But now I wish I hadn’t :( Carles didn’t think how I would feel if I saw this, that I might become very depressed, possibly end it all (via suicide.) He should have realized that my obsession with aesthetics is rooted in severe self-consciousness, and I am very vulnerable. He ruined me.

Anyways, I think this blog is funny, especially the stuff on the economics of alt stuff on the internet, anything related to Daft Punk, and “social commentary,” but bringing kids into this isn’t very cool. They’re young and just trying to have fun; they have the misfortune of being watched by a bunch of snarky critical 20-somethings with little real life experience or perspective, who will mock and scorn them, and possibly turn them into a lame internet meme. These are real people, and it is a bad deal to hurt others for no real reason except for being young and “zany” and having digital technology, especially tween/teen girls who already have all sorts of “issues” to deal with on growing up.
