From what I understand, black and white movies were created before color movies, IMAX movies, and 3d movies existed. "Black And White" quality means it is super old, and super boring, because they didn't really have sweet video technology back in the day. It's no surprise that Late Night With Jimmy Kimmel Live producers decided to put Joanna Newsom's live set on their show in black and white, since it was 'mad boring.'

There's really nothing u can do to 'jazz up' a crazy lady playing a harp, so I guess it was a decent decision, but I'll bet they lost a ton of viewers who thought that their TV 'messed up', or that their local ABC affiliate was just showing some old, boring movie.

Feel kinda bad for her, like they 'shafted her hard', letting her know that she wasn't good enough 2 deserve 'HD color' coverage. Just like 'oops. sorry yall, we booked a lemon. Go ahead and change it if u want. Tune back in tomorrow and color will be fixed.'

Really thankful that we live in the 3D era of movies/tv. Might get 3d contact lenses so that my world will be totes spiced up.

Really unsure why Joanna Newsom was playing a Late Night Talk show when her album already tanked. Only sold like 5k albums in its first week. Gotta go ahead and call that 1 a 'huge disaster', one of the biggest of 2k10.
