WAVVES has some song called "Shoulda Taken Post Acid with U" and he made a music viddy for it. Sorta trying to recapture 'nostalgic images of youth', except WAVVES is still young at heart [via dank], so they are probably kinda like 'nostalgic images of earlier 2day' [via getting blazed and ending up in a youtube vortex of old teen television shows from the 90s]. Feel like this video is 'trying to be retro' and go back to WAVVES's youth, back before u needed weed/acid/ 2 be nostalgic.
Wish we could stay 20-somethings forever
Not a care in the world
Except chilling with Alien Bros
Getting 'high' of intergalactic weed

Seems like there are 'no references' to weed/alcohol/getting 'blacked out'/fucked up in this video. Seems like maybe Mountain Dew was like, 'listen, we paid u for this song, so would u mind chilling out on the dank references. Know it is a big part of ur identity, but we are a mainstream brand, and want teens to vibe out to this music while they drink Mountain Dew.'

Wonder if the alien's 'miscellaneous groceries' are supposed to be 'beer' or if they are just 'bags of cheetos + funyons + lunchables.'
Does the alien seem 'more chill' than WAVVES?
Do u wish u could vibe out with MTV VJ John Norris?
Do u think he is a chill bro who will dank out with a buzzband?

Will WAVVES play on Fallon?
Is this the 'music video of the year' besides M.I.A.'s "Born Free"?
Would this music video have been more interesting if the CIA 'executed' the alien by shooting his ass in the head and making WAVVES run over a field of landmines?
Do u think Mountain Dew 'cramped' WAVVES' style by banning 'foreign substances' in the video, or do u think WAVVES's brand seems light-hearted + free-spirited?
Did WAVVES + Best Coast take 'dank' 2 far, ruining fan perception of them?
