The Arcade Fire wrote an album called The Suburbs abt how America is bullshit because every1 lives in cookie cutter houses in suburbia and no1 is an individual and ppl who want to 'be free' can't escape because they are trapped in suburbia to perpetuate their lives' and never find anything that makes life worth living so ppl are all sad on the inside and resort to acts of violence/sexual abuse just to try to 'break free' from their metaphorical shackles.

It seems like they made a new music video for "The Suburbs" that features a group of teenagers in suburbia 'being bored' and there is some sort of military police regulating shit. No idea what it means, but Spike Jonez directed it, so I guess it 'has cred.' I guess it is believable because there is this one 'hot suburbia chick' that is cockteasing all of the bros in her group of friends, then the bros get 'torn apart' because they all want to get tugged off by her beautiful curly locks.
S0 much violence. Think there is a school shooting in there somewhere but not even sure why.

Confused by this video. Just like 'whatever.' Wonder if "The Suburbs" is the best song on "The Suburbs."
R u sad abt suburbia?
Did u grow up in suburbia?
Did 'all of the houses look the same' / the architecture make u sad?
Will Regine and Win have to move to the suburbs when they want to start a family of 10?

Are the suburbs rlly that bad, or is it just a higher quality of life for middle class ppl who deserve it/don't know any better?
Why do 'authentic alts' h8 the suburbs so much?
Why do ppl 'resent their upbringing' so much?
Should I move 2 the suburbs?
R u a trapped in suburbia bro 'going crazy' abt how society has kept u down?
