The Arcade Fire was on the popular mainstream comedy show Saturday Night Live. It seems like they really wanted to take their brand to the next level. Unfortunately the stage was all small, so they were all cramped in there and no1 could really move around. I am not sure if SNL was a good place for their sound. Not sure if they made any new fans or just sorta came across like 'another random indie band.'

First they sang "We Used To Wait" and Win Butler tried 2 be Bono. Sorta sounds weak. Maybe they shoulda gone with "Wake Up" just to stay mainstream-ish.

I feel like Win is not sure if he is a 'rock n roll god' yet. Like maybe he thinks he is Bono/Brandon Flowers/Jeff Nickelback, but at the same time he might be a lil bit insecure.

Does Win deserve to act like a 'flamboyant frontman' or is he still just another meek indie bro?
U notice that in this video they 'hide' Regine in the back. Win probably had to promise to let her sing a song, so then they sang Regine's "Sprawl II."

They weren't able to mask Regine's vocals on TV, so ppl were probably kinda weirded out/let down by this performance.

Does Regine have 'the worst voice in indie rock'?
Did Regine single handedly ruin this performance?
Did things get weird when Regine brought out the color guard twirly things?

Are those actually 'sex toys' that she uses to tickle/punish Win?

Then the Arcade Fire was in a lame Andy Samby skit. Sorta not rlly very funny. Wonder if Samberg needs to 'hang it up', but then maybe he wouldn't be too successful without SNL to launch his viral videos.

The Arcade probs agreed to be in it because they were like "This will probs go as viral as Dick in A Box" but then no1 rlly cared.
