MIA and MGMT are named as the ugliest/dumbest album covers of 2k10

Sorta weird how we spend so much time thinking abt how albums sound on the inside, but we don't really think abt how their album art impacts our visual representation of the album. So much pressure to write something 'brilliant' on the inside, but so many album covers 'effing suck.' It seems like Pitchfork named 'the worst album covers of 2k10' and MGMT, M.I.A. and the Kings of Leon were probs the 'most famous' bands on the list.

MIA's youtube loading bar gimmick 'totally failed' this year. No1 really liked her music, her art, her concepts, her memes, or her as a human being. Really bad 2k10 for her.

MGMT's CONGRATULATIONS album art seems to have 'flopped' just as hard as the album. Not sure if this is 'bad album art' or if Pitchfork is just mad because they didn't write songs that were as catchy as KIDS, ELECTRIC EELS, or TIME2PRETEND.

They went ahead and 'panned' Elliott Smith. Seems kinda unchill.

Not sure what is wrong with the Kings of Leon's chillwave album cover.

Here is the most compelling random/zany album cover.

Hope I can perform live from Uranus 1 day.

Really feel bad for THE BUZZBAND because the "I peed my undies EP' was rlly good.

Do u think all of these album covers are the equivalent of selecting a 'used piece of toilet paper' as ur album cover after a 'runny shit'?

Who had the worst album art of 2k10?
Who had the worst album of 2k10?
Is MIA a 'complete disappointment'?
Who had a worse 2k10: MGMT or MIA?
Do u even care abt album art, or is it just a .jpg that u see on blogs?
Does album art even matter any more?
Is Animal Collective's Merriweather Post Pavilion still 'the greatest album art in the history of the .jpg era of indie'?

Who is the frontrunner for the best album art of 2k11?
