"My Life As Liz" is a popular MTV show that I think is a spinoff from '16 and Pregnant', sort of like how 'Frasier' spun off from 'Cheers' and 'Joey' spun off from 'Friends.' The show is about this alt tween girl who is 'trapped with a bunch of mainstreamers in suburbia' but knows that there is a more meaningful life out there than just lamestream proms & giving ur Abercrombie_wave boyfriend a tugjob underneath the bleachers during 7th period... Anyways, many ppl call her 'the Alt Lauren Conrad/Heidi Montag' because she is on a post-reality show on MTV.
She made a 'custom photograph' and 'sign' and 'font' for HIPSTER RUNOFF, declaring her love for the site. It seems like the site must have resonated with her when she was 'trapped in suburbia', and inspired her to pursue meaningful-wave experiences in a major urban metropolitan area. Unfortunately, I don't think there is as much 'teen sex' as there is in SKINS, and not meth addictions being battled in Middle America [via 16 and pregnant].
Do yall watch 'My Life as Liz'? I think she moved 2 New York City for season 2, and she has 2 decide whether or not she wants to stay loyal to her entry-level meaningful core alt friends from the past, or decide to 'mingle' with NYC alt dudes. Not sure if she is alt enough 2 live in Brooklyn or if she is riding Times Square waves and living in an office in the MTV Studios.
