Julian Casablancas walks into the crowd bc he wants to be the next Chris Martin/Bono

The lead singer of a band usually has to find gimmicks 2 make the audience feel like they are a part of a special, magical, unique experience. One of the strategies that was 'perfected' by Bono (U2) and Chris Martin (Coldplay) is pretending 2 have so much magical energy inside of you that you have to walk into the crowd and every1 freaks out and tries to touch u. It is sorta like a 'God-complex' type of thing. Anyways, The Strokes played Madison Square Garden (the biggest indie venue in the world) and Julian Casablancas pulled the Coldplay/U2 move and 'walked into the crowd', singing "Take It or Leave It."

In the video, u can see so many ppl youtubing hella hard.

In other Strokes-related news, Nikolai Fraiture decided 2 wear a suit + tie.

A middle-aged Strokes fan bro was photographed next to a tween Strokes fan, representing the Strokes' diverse fan base.

This photograph represents Madison Square Garden's status as 'not only the greatest sports arena in the world, but the official home of the mainstream indie large scale concert.'
