Ariel Pink is known for his crazy on-stage antics and his lofi pop vibe vibes. However, lately he was getting TONS OF BLOG PRESS 4 having meltdowns on stage. First at Coachelly [link], then an anti-Mexi meltdown in Mexico [link]. Anyways, he played Primavera Fest, which is both a festival AND in a Latin-wave place (Spain), so tons of insiders were predicting that this would lead to the #1 meltdown of all time. However, there were no reports of a meltdown.
Not sure how 2 feel. Part of me is rooting for Ariel, because if he ever goes mainstream, blogs can 'take credit' 4 him and pretend that we are legitimate tastemakers. On the other hand, u can really get some MAD HITS when buzzbands have meltdowns.
R u disappointed when buzzbands don't have meltdowns?
Is Ariel Pink now expected 2 have a meltdown at every show?
Is the ARiel Pink live experience the #1 live experience in indie?
Should Ariel Pink build a Daft Punk pyramid and hide in it during the show and just pretend 2 sing?
Have u ever gone 2 an AP show expecting 2 see a meltdown, and all u got was a chill, normal buzz show?
