Drake 'rips off'/'samples' a Jamie xx song. Has Jamie xx 'sold out' 2 go mnstrm?

Being a relevant/respected rapper seems like the easiest thing to do in the world (except if ur Donald Glover). All you have to do is 'steal' songs that already sound good, then rap over them. The more famous you get, the easier it is. Kanye West. Jay-Z. Drake. Beyonce. Not Donald Glover. All of them do it over and over again, and midmarket America is all like 'this is hella swag deep.'

Anyways, Jamie xx recorded a hit song 'I'll Take Care of U' with Gil-Scott Heron. Now Drake basically stole that song, had Rihanna sing over it, and now it is the title track off his new album 'Take Care.' Really baffled as to why this song has to exist. Drake is widely considered 'the softest nigga in the game', so he probs shoulda picked a 'harder' song.

'Can u hear the similarities?'

U have to assume that this is the biggest moment in Jamie xx's career. He might even be able to 'go solo' and leave the xx for good. I wonder if he is still gonna tour with them and/or play the button drums for them. At this point, it seems clear that he is the 'leader' of the band, and the guy and girl just 'whisper' sexily over songs.

Did Jamie xx 'sell out' for mainstream $$$$$?
Is Gil-Scott Heron 'rolling around in his grave'?
Do u vibe 2 Drake?
Is he 'soft'?
Is he better than Kanye West?
Should Jamie xx 'quit' the XX, kinda like how George Michael quit Wham?
Do u wish u could be a rapper and just 'steal' indie songs/classic soul songs?

Take care, bb!
