VIDEO: Ben Gibbard hits rock bottom post-ZoZo-divorce, tries to convince world that he is 'okay'
"There's really nothing in life that you can't do."
-Benjamin Gibbard, 2k12
I really think it is time to put Ben Gibbard on 'suicide watch' after his recent divorce from Zooey Deschanel. He was 'profiled' in a recent edition of Runner's World Magazine, doing a honky photoshoot and video interview, doing the whole 'I SWEAR I'M OKAY' routine, saying that he has discovered a healthy new lifestyle that justifies his drop in weight and affinity 4 long runs by himself. Maybe this is also kinda like a 'dating video' where he shows off how fit, successful, and creative he is so that he can find a BANGIN hot GF. More likely, he is secretly depressed, and hoping that this makes it's way back 2 Zooey, but she will probably sit around with her Hello Giggles crew and laugh at him and be all like 'OMG WHEN IS HE GONNA GET THE EFF OVER ME?'
As u can see, he is depressed. The 'I'm depressed. Look at me smiling' smile.
In this quote he talks about how his 'body' used to hate him, which may or may not be a metaphor for some1/something else if u 'read between the lines.'
How did those first runs feel?
My body hated me. It was as if my body was saying, "I thought we had a deal here. You don't do this kind of stuff." I had to wage a war of attrition with my own body. One day, my knee would hurt. The next day, my ankles would hurt, then my shins would hurt. That went on for months. Every day, some kind of ailment came up, some new ache or pain in my body. The only reason I kept going was because I was so stubborn. I had made a decision that I was going to be a runner, and I was going to be a runner. I wasn't running through injury, just pain. It took six months for the first mile not to be the worst feeling in the world. Getting past that first mile every day was a trying experience. Now, I've been running for long enough that my body's, like, excited to go out for a run. It's like taking a dog for a walk--I put my running shoes on and my body says, "Oh, good, we're going to do this!"
Please show Ben support during this difficult time. We must never forget what he did 4 indie. Also, his Postal Service project truly took the bleepy bloop movement to such great heights.
ZoZo who? #TeamBenGibbsy
It's s00 ironic how Ben Gibbard kinda created mainstream indie, therefore he secretly influenced the personal branding choices of Zooey Deschanel, creating a monster that eventually brought him down. :-(

Oh Ben... Why r u running away [via the Hoobastanks]?
R u worried abt Ben Gibbard?
Is 'running' 4 cool dads?
Will his music 'recover' and rediscover his early indie form?
Does he seem hella depressed?
Does he seem like a weak runner?
Do u think u could 'effing smoke' Ben Gibbard in a marathon?
