ABC News does segment on kewl new buzzband called WAVVES
</embed>

ABC has some hilarious segment called 'AMPLIFIED' where some old cool dad bro who loves indie rock (Dan Harris) goes out and interviews buzzbands. It seems like he bro-ed down with WAVVES. Not sure if Dan Harris smoked a blunt, but the other bros probably did.

Might throw down a chill with Dan Harris.

N e ways, super cheesy video done in the style of MTV News from 1992, but always 'hilarious' to see ABC NEWS AMPLIFIED segments. They really try to make it seem like WAVVES overcame a rough career or something.

Not sure why Pitchfork founder and CEO Ryan Schreiber shows up in this video. More important question is: why he is floating in front of the old Pitchfork site design?

Worried that the ABC Video editing interns didn't really do their homework, and pooped this segment together. Feel like buzzbands should probably only do a few interviews per year instead of leaving their brand to be manipulated/butchered by these people who 'clearly don't know what they are doing.'

Feel like this screen shot is 'hilarious' [via 'actual studio' humor]. Wonder if people who aren't familiar with chillwave lofi bedroom producers could even comprehend this slide.

Here is a video of Dan Harris 'trying 2 flirt with' Best Coast/ interviewing her. That bro is seriously 'one bro of a bro.'

Feel like this Dan Harris bro is one of the greatest indie journalists of our generation. Wonder if he would rather be covering 'real news' or if he prefers 'connecting with the kids' and interviewing buzzbands that he reads about on wikipedia the night before the interview.

Do u think Dan Harris genuinely likes buzzbands?
Does he seem like a chill bro who would share a joint with u?
Do u think Dan Harris is the Anderson Cooper of buzzbands?
Did Dan Harris ask 'hard hitting questions' or did he mail it in?
Do u think there is a secret love triangle between Best Coast, WAVVES and Dan Harris?

She & Him showcase their mega-douchey brand in interview with ABC News
</embed>

I think ABC News is trying to 'cover' alt bands or something, but accidentally booked She & Him to be on their web programming series AMPLIFIED. They basically sent a mainstream journalist to make a puff piece at SXSW, and he sort of 'took it too seriously', then the band 'took it too seriously' and it sort of showcased the worst of 'music journalism' and what happens when artists talk too seriously about their 'art.'

Do they seem like a chill band, or are they kinda douchey?

Highlights of the video include:

  • they talk about how 'personal' their songwriting is
  • the bro asks them if their music is a 'real homage to the 60s or 70s' or if it is just an ironic take, then they talk about how sincere / authentic they are.
  • they claim they only listen to modern music 'here and there' but mainly only listen to their friends' music
  • the bro asks Zooey Deschanel if she plays her music for Ben Gibbard, and she says 'only after it is mastered.'
  • Showing clips of ELF, Almost Famous and 500 Days of Summer to showcase Zooey Deschanel's acting background
  • crappy video editing by the ABC News intern

Seems like the journalist bro got to travel to SXSW, read a few articles on wikipedia, then was ready to be a music journalist. Wonder if Dan Harris' dream job is to work for Pitchfork or to cover Sarah Palin.

Did Zooey look kute and sound smart + talented? Did her bangs look good in this video?

Should She & Him remain a 'studio band'?
Should Zooey Deschanel 'go solo'?
Should Zooey Deschanny 'stick 2 acting'?
Should Ben Gibbard produce her music?
Does Ben Gibbard genuinely 'enjoy' her music, or does he just have 2 say he likes it to avoid arguments?
Will She & Him become one of the top selling bands of 2010 after their iPhone commercial showcase?

ABC News does puff piece segment on juggalos + horrorcore.
</embed>

In order to educate upperclass Middle America about juggalo and horrorcore culture, ABC News did some piece where they basically listed all of the murders that self-proclaimed juggalos have committed, explained the violent content of horrorcore music, interview a police officer from a rural white town who deals with horrorcore murders, then they interview the Insane Clown Posse while they are wearing make up.

Wonder if we should send Insane Clown Posse to jail because they encourage people 2 kill other people in violent ways. Not sure if poor white people are 'educated' enough to understand what human life really means. It seems like all they really care about is listening to rap where artists talk about murder, cutting up the dead body, then having sex with the chopped up dead body.

Wonder what it is like to be in a juggalo buzzband. It seems like they probably make a lot of money off poor whites who still buy CDs. Might try to become a relevant horrorcore artist instead of trying to break into the internet indie chillwave game.

The interviewer, Martin Bashir, seems to have really 'fallen' since he did high level Michael Jackson interviews.

If u could interview a juggalo, what would u ask them?
Do yall think Middle America is worried that a juggalo will murder them?
Do u remember the time when juggalos wanted to murder Carles for calling them less than human?
Is Horrorcore bad for society/humanity?
Should I transition my brand into juggalo wave?

Will MTV create a new show similar to 'Jersey Shore' except about Juggalos?
