It seems as if this #LDRSNL meme is simply NOT dying. Andy Samberg is a castmember on Saturday Night Live, a show where Lana Del Rey recently tanked. Many insiders rumored that his GF, indie harpist Joanna Newsom would be 'mad jealous' of the indie buzz and sales success of Lana Del Rey. There is no way the people who book SNL would let a harpist on stage, so there's gotta be some jealousy, which has led every1 to think that Andy Samberg avoided appearing on that episode to avoid relationship conflict.

Now he is at Sundance by SunWest, or some sort of music and arts festival in MormonTown, and EVERY1 is still talking #LDR. It seems like as much as we'd like to, there is simply NO ESCAPING from this meme... Some random talking head bro dressed in swag clothes was all like 'We're friends. tell me what u thought abt #LDRSNL.'

"People gave her a lot of crap. I saw it online. BriWi," he said when asked about Del Rey, referring to "NBC Nightly News" anchor Brian Williams' assessment of the performance as "one of the worst outings in 'SNL' history."

"But 'Video Games' is a great song," Samberg added.

Also there to offer support was Samberg's "Celeste and Jesse" co-star Rashida Jones, who doesn't envy anybody who has to grace the pressure-filled "SNL" stage. "It's a tough venue," she said. "You're not actually performing in front of an audience; you're performing in front of cameras. But I didn't see it, so I don't know."

"Yeah, I didn't see it either, so I can't really speak to it," Samberg quickly added, followed by a long pause and an uncomfortable look. (Perhaps there's something he's not telling us ... )

It seemed like when he said 'I didn't really see it', he was making the TYPICAL ANDY SAMBERG FACE, where he is just joshin'. That's what we'd expect from the Lonely Island crooner... When will the guy ever 'go serious' and act in an offbeat Dark Comedy about 'getting older' and 'hating life' but then seeing that life is beautiful?

I'm sure it's really difficult to be Joanna Newsom right now. She built her career in the pre-LDR era, back when critics would spooge their pants about any marginally talented female. After Lana Del Rey, there will be no more spooge for the ANY female artist, even if they know how to play the harp.

This is some video of Joanna Newsom playing some ACL live taping or something. I guess it came out now because she wants ppl to know that she is more authentic than LDR. I wonder what the Samberg-Newsom household is like after #LDRSNL. There was probably some friction, because she told him not to make a digital short featuring her. There was not one. In fact, I am pretty sure Andy Samberg wasn't in any sketches during the Lana Del Rey episode. U have to think that there is trouble in paradise brewing because she is no longer the 'buzz catch' that she once was. He is probably gonna have some 1on1 time with Zooey Deschanel, and be all like 'Why the eff isn't my indie princess building a brand?'

Portlandia had a 'massive premiere party' because it is the most-watched show ever on IFC, so Fred Armisen has basically turned into 'the Jerry Seinfeld [via NBC]' of IFC. Anyways, there were basically just a bunch of 'alt comedians and comediennes who were trying to go mainstream there' aka 'SNL castmembers.' The only real indie highlight was a picture of indie harpist songstress Joanna Newsom 'canoodling' with her Jewish SNL funnyman BF Andy Samberg. I sorta wish I could know more abt them, or better yet, actually be one of them so I would know what it was like to be in a famous relaish. I don't really know that much about Owen Pallett, except that he is sorta like a member of the Arcade Fire, except he doesn't have any equity in the band, so he is more like a hired dude who is supposed to make them sound more anthemic by adding another layer of voices 2 their live performance cuz the stage is all crowded. Anyways, never really listened to his music, but as you can see, he is wearing a keut lil newsboy hat.

Anyways, it looks like SNL funnyman Andy Samberg took some time off from producing 'hilarious' digital shorts and joined him in concert to play violin.

U gotta give props to Andy for stepping outside of his comfort zone behind the camera and getting on stage. I never knew he could play violin, so u have to assume that he will be throwing down a duet with Joanna Newsom pretty soon. Harp + Violin will be totes relevant in 2k14, yall.

Sugar Ray is a popular band from the 1990s that wrote some of the chillest bro songs in the history of chill bros. Some could argue that in tandem with Incubus, both acts paved the way for the modern danked out chill bro. Mark McGrath was the genius behind the band, and he was spotted with the frontman of the Lonely Island/the wannabe funnyman SNL digital short bro. Andy Samberg is part of a new generation of comedians who 'made funny lil viral videos' to get comedy famous, instead of 'paying their dues' doing standup in underground clubs. (Not sure which comedy route I respect more).

Andy Samberg has been dating Joanna Newsom, so based on this new canoodling picture, that relationship is 'probably way over.' Maybe he broke up with her due to 'poor album sales' and wanted to collab with some1 who 'truly understood mainstream pop music.'

The Lonely Island is widely known as the modernized bro-ified version of Weird Al Yankovich adapted for the modern world bc they make zany viral videos. Their brand of humor is the 'it' style of humor for teens on the internet across the USA. Julian Casablancas, lead singer of the Strokes 'collab-ed' with the Lonely Island on a song called 'Boom box.' I am not sure if this video is supposed to 'be funny' or if it is supposed to be a 'real song.' Probs just the opportunity to make a zany video.

The Strokes were widely considered the #1 band of the 2000s, so it will be interesting to see if this viral video promotion hurts or helps the Strokes + JCasablancas solo project. Maybe this was some sort of strategic attempt to be part of the new 'Dick in a Box', getting over 100 million viral video views. Wonder if modern tweens who never heard the hit album 'Is This It' are becoming familiar with the Strokes brand, or if they will just think they are some weird old band like The Cars.

Wonder if the Strokes next album will be a 'real album' that gets authentic praise, or if it will be a parody album. Worried.

Despite winning worldwide critical acclaim from music criticism bros, the latest Joanna Newsom album has 'completely flopped' in the open market. It was 'such a failure' that it will most likely inspire tons of internet journalism pieces that attempt to demonstrate the challenges behind converting blog buzz + internet acclaim into album sales. Many question her decision to have a 2.2 hour album that meanders around without a defined structure. Experts say should could have very easily crossed over into the post-Feist indie woman niche, but we can only imagine that she believed the whole 'harp + piano vibe' would catch on.
