To me, Xinobi and Anoraak represent the golden era of ‘uncovering foreign artists on myspace before there were too many crappy producers pretending to be European artists on myspace even though 99.9% of myspace artists were already uncovered/Aleks Discodust had lined up [EXCLUSIVES] with them.’

So it’s kute to see this Anoraak remix of Xinobi and know they are releasing it on beatport. I think the Anoraak Remix of “Day Off” sounds a lot like his remix of The Outrunners’ “Cool Feeling.” Maybe some1 should mash it up if they are feel like partaking in a creative weekend activity.

Also posted is a Romantics cover by Anoraak. I think this song is a good product that it seems like a bunch of non-electro blogs are eager to post since it is ‘a cover of a poppy song from the 80s.’

In 2007, I feel like there were a lot of these bloglectro artists who I only knew about via blogs. I didn’t know if they would ever release music, or if I would just download mp3s from them forever [via blogs]. I am glad that BLOGCENTRIC artists are starting to monetize their products with tours to Australia and album releases.

ANORAAK, one of the proudest sons of Valerie, has been doing a bunch of shows in Europe, and he was recently a Myspace featured artist. He doesn’t have anything new, but I still cream my pants when I listen to his songs.

When will ANORAAK come to America? When will he be commissioned to produce a song for Madonna/Good Charlotte/some other mainstream artist that wants to purchase a new sound for their upcoming album that ’sounds like nothing the world has heard before’?

Sometimes I feel guilty when I don’t [RECOMMEND] enough mp3s, but I am actively sampling mp3s from the blog economy, and I am doing my best to only blog about songs that I actually enjoy/end up integrating into my own iPod experience. I don’t really have the ‘electro ear’ of a DJ, so sometimes a lot of the distorted/bangy electro hits don’t appeal to me as much.

What have been some of your favourite artists from the past 6 months that have gained a lot of blog steam? Ladyhawke? Pnau? Lifelike? DVAS? Fred Falke 2.0 remixes? Still into Crystal Castles Vs Health? Has any band or artist that you thought was pretty good just disappeared? HRO Remixes?

Anoraak was one of my favourites of 2K7, and some of his new stuff/new edits of older demos just became BLOG AVAILABLE earlier this week. ANORAAK is of course part of Valerie, which is a collective that probably deserves to take over the post-banger world. [Visit: the Valerie Blog]

I’d say ANORAAK’s synthesizer choices are always as [CLOSE TO PERFECT] as it gets. His song structures/arrangements are also pretty flawless.

Valerie = one of my favourite blogs to ‘rip off’ for new music.
Go there to download a free EP by The Outrunners: “THE COOL FEELING EP.” It’s a song that really took me to a higher level of elecro-existence, or something along those lines. COOL FEELING is a pretty appropriate title.

Hopefully he is saving his stuff for an album, because it will definitely be worth buying.


Anyways, his music blows me away. It’s incredibly textured and perfectly structured. He’s another product of Valerie. I think by March of 2008, Valerie will definitely be in an all out war with I HEART COMIX in a US vs. France war for the title of ‘most influencial music collective/label/blog’ in the blogosphere.
