Here’s a remix that I’ve had in heavy rotation lately. Party Time 2000 takes a pretty lame song to a different level, even beyond the ‘this is a pretty good ironic remix of a top 40 song.’

The process was creating a deeper darker sound, somehow using pitch shifting and tempo dropping to create a sense of slowed/quickened time. I was trying to create the scariest jams.

TRICK OR BEATS is an exciting listen, with the right balance of of blog house tracks and certified pop hits. Highlights of the mix are Phil Collins vs Vitalic, and the Boyz Noize Feist Remix transition into the CFCF Remix of Health’s “Triceratops.” It’s one of the more successful mixtapes out there.
