I feel excited, because 2 of my favourite things are joining forces to make the best movie of all time: Wes Anderson and NBA basketball. This is a picture from the set in a scene where he is feeling aloof, and goes to an NBA game and 'feels nothing.' Apparently, Bill Murray stars as a down-on-his-luck bro who just got divorced from Margot Tenenbaum, and gets back from sea. He wants to rebuild his life, and get a decent paycheck playing in the NBA.
Eventually, Bill Murray must go through a series of whimsical conversations to get himself a tryout. He eventually makes the team, but then finds out that black men h8 old white men. He goes through adversity, gets dunked on by LeBron James, and eventually becomes a contributor and vocal team leader from the bench on a championship team. He also reunites with his estranged son.
I feel excited about this movie. I think it will help to 'humanize' our perception of professional athletes, instead of thinking of them as lucky/blessed / relevant / important 2 society / ass holes / spoiled / new money bros who buy tyte cars / etc.
Think that the tentative title of the film is HE GOT BBALL DIARIES.

Wes Anderson is a film director and writer who makes movies that are highly-stylized and whimsical. He is widely regarded as one of the leaders of the American Indie film movement with Zachary Braff, Paul Thomas Anderson, Bill Murray, and Michael Bay. Anyways, he made 'The Royal Tenenbaums' and 'Rushmore' and some movie about a train ride thru India and maybe some other movies that didn't do as well. He has some new movie called Moonrise Kingdom.
The movie seems to be about two quirky tweens who run away from home. Anderson seems to be 'completely effing obsessed' with childhood, eager 2 tell the world that in a way, we are all still children pretending 2 be adults in this crazy, cray world.
It has an 'all-star cast' of mnstrm celebs who wanna ride Bill Murray waves and get alt film notoriety by collabing with Wes Anderson.
Co-written with Roman Coppola and starring Bruce Willis, Edward Norton, Frances McDormand, Tilda Swinton, Bill Murray, Jason Schwartzman, Harvey Keitel, the story is set in Anderson-stylized 1960s New England, and follows a young boy and young girl who fall in love and run away together, turning their small town upside down in the process. Yes, it's reminiscent of much we've seen from Anderson, yet it feels alive and fresh, with a whole new world we're eager to explore.
U have to wonder if that young tween boy who plays the 'lead' in the film is the next Jason Schwartzman, ending up with a career where every1 expects him to play 'that quirky kid from that Wes Anderson film' then he just ends up acting in Wes Anderson films his entire life. :-(

Bill Murray is an indie actor who has starred in such films such as Ghostbusting Rushmore and Lost in Meatballs. Anyways, for some reason ppl think he is amazing because he will constantly go places where 'the common man' is chilling. He chilled out with some lamestreamers in a karaoke bar, and they were all like 'BILL EFFING MURRAY BITCHES' then they sent his pix to a blog just 2 prove how amazing their lives' are.
"About 15 minutes later we get a knock on the door... IT'S BILL F@#KING MURRAY! We were all shocked of course but at that point we were already pretty trashed so the party just kept going. He was super nice and they all fit right in. His girl was really cute, and as far as i remember, from Amsterdam. She sang a bunch of random French songs!
At some point he bought us all a round of some weird green drink and wouldn't tell us what it was. I later found out it was Chartreuse some French liqueur made by monks. Apparently you are supposed to sip it ... like an idiot I just shot it down.
The high point was when Bill and I sang a duet of an Elvis song called, "Marie's the Name." Random I know, but so was the night. We were all drinking and dancing and screaming our asses off.
We tried not to make him feel uncomfortable though of course later we all joked about picking the Ghostbusters theme. Amazingly, they stuck around the entire night, about 4 hours. As you can imagine it was all pretty surreal. Something I will never ever forget…Viva Bill Murray!"

In the 2000s, the popular mainstream comedian Bill Murray 'rebranded himself' as an actor who starred in indie passion films. He basically 'cashed in' by looking at the camera and looking old + contemplative. Many entrylevelers who were into the Wes Anderson movie franchise were all like "Bill Murray is a genius" even though his vibe was sorta like "passing a kidney stone + being depressed."
Anyways, some artist made a bunch of paintings of Bill Murray playing different characters in Wes Anderson films. Doesn't seem very original/authentic. Just sorta shows that the artist can't 'break free' from the indie film aesthetic, and isn't inspired by anything real. Had 2 sort of go into a dream world.

From what I have read, Judd Apatow is filming the third installment of the Ghostbusters movie series. I think all of his movies are 'basically the same', so I feel like this movie will probably be about 4 bros who are 'trying to evolve into men' who are ready for serious relationships/fatherhood/jobs/etc. Feel like these new bro actors will really complement Bill Murray, since he is kinda all indie now. Hopefully the new movie is a mix of the 40 year old virgin, Funny People, Knocked Up, Superbad, and other films featuring Paul Rudd/Seth Rogan/Jonah Hill/Michael Cera and the rest of those 'bros.'
Mad jacked for this film. Feel like I'm pretty in2 ghosts, and Chill Murray, so I think this film is a 'natural evolution' for my interests. Hope that Bill Murray plays a sad, distant indie character who is dealing with growing older in a quirky way.

Bill Murray chilled mad hard at SXSW. Seems like he had a 'bartending gig' or something. Not sure what his deal is. This is probably viral marketing for an indie film about a down-on-his-luck bartender who doesn't fit in with the world, but then has to reunite with his daughter or something.
The atmosphere seems electric, like the highlight of SXSW for all of the people in the room was getting to watch Bill Murray from afar, as opposed 2 getting 2 watch buzzbands.
Wish I could have been at the bar, ordering a drink with a shit-eating grin, and say, 'bro. loved you in Tenenbaums. U killed it brah. How about a Lone Star Tall boy.' Then he would look at me like I 'got' it, and give me a free drink. Later we'd go out for tacos and talk about his favourite roles.
