Yall. Started 2 watch South Park. Need 2 catch up on a lot of episodes.
Helps me 2 formulate my opinion on modern issues and a lot of pop cultural issues.
Not sure who I should like the most/find the funniest. Feel 'jealous' of South Park for being 'so mainstream' but also 'being cutting edge.' Not sure if I should 'respect it', 'go out of my way 2 h8 it', or 'pretend I don't watch it.'
Do yall think that South Park is more authentic than Family Guy, or The Simpsons, or are they the kind of people who just 'make fun of shit' but 'don't make the world better'?
Sometimes I feel like South Park is 'funnie' and that I am the only bro who 'gets it' like it is supposed 2 be 'gotten.' But then I get sad because 'every1 likes South Park and I feel like less of an individual who likes progressive comedy. Wish I lived in the mid90s, back when there wasn't a high demand for 'progressive comedy' and not every1 consumed it and made it a part of their personality.
Kinda feel _______ about a show that has 'become popular' but still 'being progressive' and 'attempting 2 maintain a cutting edge tone' with the 'mass audience that they have garnered.'
Just wanna go 'adult swimming', and laugh at progressive comedy, dreaming about how 'I am random and smart...maybe 1 day I can write this stuff... Might start a pop culture blog instead with political opinions.'
How do u feel about online media that 'makes fun of hipsters'? I feel like it usually appeals to people who are on the sidelines of hipsterdom, and have an unhealthy obsession with 'what is means to be alt.' Kind of like the people who bought $100 worth of American Appy, a pair of shutter shades, and other miscellaneous 'look@me' accessories, but only wear it once to an 80s themed party and spend the whole night saying, "OMG i look like such a hipster. hehe."
Here are two screen shots from the cartoon I hope 50% of my readership has purple hair. Should I change the HRO layout/blog title? Did u connect with it on a meta-post-meta-alt-physical level?
Hey look that's me, yall! right next 2 my other fave site. "Loves it! That is all."
Watch the video just to hear the use of the words 'mainstreamer' and 'alt.' (Also if you like Nike spaceships and floating Steve Aokis.)
[Video may not be viewable in your RSS reader]
Did u like the video? What was ur fave part? Does it represent U? Is it for FGGTs?
How do u feel about 'hipster' themed videos? I feel like alt audience will always think this is ghey, because 'most of us' are alt-er than the entry-level, uneducated alts who are portrayed in this. Most mainstream-ish [HIGHLY PORTRAYABLE] alts who are REALLY alt aren't even smart enough to use the internet to do more than social network/upload photos/change user pics/write on walls.
I was also searching for a video that was representative of the 'poor portrayal of American Apparel mockery' genre, but I happened to stumble upon an authentic gem that is better at showing <3 entry level 'searching for my inner alt' alts <3 [youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ib2yWEuRbac&hl=en&fs=1] I wish I could have been there 4 this. This video is so much deeper than stuff like this.
Lana Del Rey's career has been widely covered in 'recap posts', mainly for mad hits from lamestreamers who want to be all like 'How did Lana Del Rey get 2 where she is now?' Anyways, whenever there is an internationally acclaimed meme or news story, some random ass Japanese people make a Second-Life-wave animated version, recapping the story, and provide post-ironically funnie commentary on it, sorta because it is for 'crazy foreigners. The video showcases every inch of Lana Del Rey's AMAZING curves.
It looks EGGZACKLY like #LDR!
She was crowned a HIPSTER QUEEN, yall!
Critics like Pitchfork Blog TOTALLY h8 Lana Del Rey! They PANNED the eff out of her [via pans] [via literally beating her with pans]
Remember when she put the SNL audience 2 sleep? #ZZZZZZ
I guess in the end, we all wish that we were #BORN2ARICHFATHER
Was this FUNNIE or SAD or do u feel like u just watched ur entire life flash before ur eyes?
Here is the Broken-English Version:
Should Lana Del Rey get her own animated series for Saturday Morning cartoons?
Will they animate the purchase of her first riviera?
Does Lana look good?
Are critics 'mean' [via PANNING]?
Does Lana Del Rey have it all 2day?
Do u hope that 1 day u are captured in animated Japanese video format?
Does this make you want to see Lana Del Rey in anime porn / hentai?
Will Lana Del Rey have a hotel room meltdown with prostitutes, showing off her naked bare ass?
Napoleon Dynamite is a quirkwave indie comedy from between 2-10 years ago. I can't tell how old stuff from the indie era is any more. Anyways, I guess the creators and castmembers finally 'hit rock bottom' and they are ready to make some cash by creating Napoleon Dynamite: The Animated Series. I guess if shows like The Simpsons can be on the air for 20 years, why couldn't Nappy D be on the air for 50. I feel like animated shows are easy to produce/poop out, and even easier to cancel, so seems like this is a chill experiment.
It seems like Nappy D, Pedro the Mexican, and all of the other white trash ppl are 'up to the same old tricks.' Llamas. Quirkiness. Zaniness. Surreality. White ppl. I really hope there is a weird sex scene between [Character A] and [Character B]. I hope they [do something quirky]. I hope that Americans learn that we are a lot like Nappy and his gang of misfits.
Does this animated series 'look funnie'?
Was Nappy D authentically funnie + progressive?
Will this show be good for its historical brand?
Did John Heder's career 'tank'?
Will this be the #1 show on TV?
Do u prefer King of the Hill/Fam Guy/Adult Swim shit?
Do u only watch cartoons if they are Pixar-wave?
Do u feel sad that Pedro the Mexi's career never 'took off'?
I saw that Joanna Newsom was converted into a Simpsons character because the creator of the Simpsons, Matt Groening apparently 'loves her shit.' He probably chills hard to Joanna when he is doodling Bart Simpson tales. For some reason, he decided to draw Joanna Newsom chilling on a harp, then decided to give her a role as a 'free spirited harp player.'
I am not sure if she really has a 3 episode arc, but I am guessing it has something to with a love triangle between Bart, Lisa, and Joanna. There will also probably be a 'pregnancy scare', then Homer Simpson will be like 'Doh, yall!' if they decide 2 get the abortion [via spoiler alert]. What do u think she will do in the Simpsons?
Does Joanna Newsom look 'hotter' in real life, or as a yellow person [via the Simpsons]?
Should Joanna Newsom 'get half naked' in bathing suit pix instead of becoming Simpsonized?
Is The Simpsons 'still relevant'?
Is it more authentic to 'get roasted' by South Park?
Should the Simpsons 'end' their cartoon, or will they stay relevant forever?
Is Adult Swim authentic?
Will the Napoleon Dynamite cartoon 'do way better' than the Simpsons because more people will related to Napoleon than they relate 2 Bart Simpson?
Napoleon Dynamite is a popular comedy from the year 2004. It featured a borderline retarded high school student who became friends with a Mexican bro, then helped him become the first latino President of the United States of America [via the "Vote for Pedro Campaign"]. Because of the 'sympathy' you felt for the 'mentally and socially challenged' in this picture, it was branded as a comedy,
Fox is developing an animated series based on the 2004 movie "Napoleon Dynamite," the network confirmed.
Napoleon Much of the original cast is on board for the TV version, including Jon Heder and Efran Ramirez, along with filmmakers Jared and Jerusha Hess. Clearly if Fox greenlights the project, it will be destined for its Sunday lineup.
It seems like there is a whole new market for 'adults who never grew up' so they still watch cutting edge cartoons on the Cartoon Network, South Park, Family Guy, and maybe even the Simpsons Family of Yellow Ppl.
Was Nappy Dynamite even 'that' funny, or just quirky, hollow bullshit for mainstreamers trying to be alt?
Wonder if Nappy Dynamite will be 'successful' as a cartoon, or if they should have it preserved as a 'cult indie comedy classic'?
Will the Napoleon Dynamite cartoon ruin their 'brand' or will it just end up selling more Vote for Pedro tshirts at Hot Topic?
If u went to HS with Nappy D, would u vote for Pedro, or would you make sure every1 elected was white?
Did Pedro's election in the film 'open the door' for the real life election of fellow minority Barrack Obama?
Do u feel like this is a lifeline for 'Efran Ramirez' since he probably couldn't get any work besides 'playing a Mexi who talked like a stereotypical Chicano'?
Does n e 1 know what type of special needs Napoleon Dynamite had?
Are people who were 'way into Nappy Dyny' losers who 'didn't understand comedy'?
Does n e 1 know what kind of people still watch cartoons? Kids?
Do tweens just watch the Disney channel and MTV now?
Are cartoons just for adults who 'never grew up' and are sort of sad people with pseudo-jobs, but not a 'real career'? [via the 17-38 year old bros who work at your local Game Stop/Costco/Wal Mart and either live with their parents or in some sad apartment complex and eat microwavable food]
Do u wish u could go back in time to when u were one of the first people to see Napoleon Dynamite in 'limited release'?
What's ur fave Nappy Dynamite quote?
