Do yall know who Cat Power is? I think she is an early indie female singer who had a few good songs, a potentially overrated album, and now she is sorta just in 'relevant purgatory' where people assume ur relevant, even though ur discography might not back it up. N e ways, sorta just wanted to 'feel out' how many people 'remember' Cat Power, and if she was ever relevant. Heard her gimmick was just 'having meltdowns' on stage. Not sure why the US Government would risk having her 'break down' in front of these African American children.
The children seem 'mad bored', confused, wishing they were in the presence of African American idols/leaders like Oprah, Obama, and Beyonce.

They are probs like 'At least we get free lunch from Panera Bread instead of government issued slop.'
Did yall dig field trips when u were a kid, even if they were pointless?
If u were a kid/African American, would u be 'pissed' that they booked a 4th tier indie star to 'read 2 u'?
Or would u be pumped and go home to download all of her albums 2 see what she's all about?
Do u think kids are 'pumped' about books, or should books 'make the jump' to 3d technology?
Was having adults read stories to you when u were a child 'heartwarming' or 'insulting'?
Did Feist make Cat Power obsolete?
Was Cat power 'too mopey' to be mainstream?
Should she ride the slutwave?
Do yall know how indie stars from the 2k4-2k6 era manage to 'hang around' for so long, even though they haven't helped the blogosphere harvest any bloggable mp3s in the past _ years?
