Analysis: This song is pretty chill. Apparently Vega has an ‘EP’ coming out. Wondering if it will ‘actually be good electro.’ I think pitchfork reviewed this track, so that means that it is ‘more than just bloghouse’ and might be ‘better than lifelike’ but not as good/branded as Daft Punk. I think that since they got in some sort of physical altercation with Crystal Castles after a show in Texas, they have infiltrated the mainstream indie music memesphere.

Grizzly Bear Two Weeks (Fred Falke Remix)

Grade: 5.0202 out of 10 runoffs
Analysis: I feel like I ‘really like’ Grizzly Bear, and I ‘really like’ Fred Falke, but I find it ‘hard to get into this remix’ as a whole. Sometimes I pretend I am listening to a Fred Falke song, but then sometimes I just feel ‘confused.’ I think it is a good product, but I just don’t think it is my thing. Think it might be for more of the indie-centric bros who are going to ‘like this remix’ but have never listened to bloghouse electro like me. I feel like it lost some of the things that I ‘really like’ about the original song, but I guess that’s why Fred Falker gets paid $6000 per remix–he knows more than I do.

The Yeah Yeah Yeahs Heads Will Roll (Weird Tapes Remix)

Grade: 1.994 out of 10 runoffs
Analysis: Weird Tapes was one of those electro bands that was ‘mysterious’ back in 2k8. I think it means that they have ‘made it’ if they got to remix the YYYs. Feel like this remix isn’t ‘that good’ but I think it is nice to have on my computer or something. Think I like Memory Cassette more than Weird Tapes though. Think they are merging into one thingy called Memory Tapes. Hope they can have a good next step and grow out of being an anonymous group.

Phoenix – Lisztomania (Classixx Version)

Grade: 7.1923 out of 10 runoffs
Analysis: I feel like this song is ‘very good.’ I am not sure what LISZTOMANIA even means, though. I think it’s kinda weird how ppl are ‘getting really into the pop sounds of Phoenix’ but sometimes u don’t even really know what the hell they are talking about in their lyrics. Much like Vega, I think Classixx are penetrating the ‘mainstream indie-centric music memesphere.’ In addition to this rmx of the ‘highly blggble’ band Phoenix, they have some new song with a bro from the dead band JUNIOR SENIOR. There is some krappy video of it directed by the cobrasnake, but that makes the video 500% more memeable. Might actually ‘tug’ to the girl in the video chilling around Southern California.

Think that this song is ‘really good’ too. Would probably listen to it on repeat in my iTunes. Think that their songs are both ‘chill’ and ‘happie.’

Remix #1: Lenny Kravitz – Let Love Rule (Justice Remix)

Yall probably know Lenny Kravitz as some rock bro who is black, and had the big hit about ‘wanting to get away–wanting 2 fly away’ or something like that. Think it used to be played on the radio/vh1 before the internet/blogs existed. Didn’t even listen to this song really. Just feel kind of ‘outraged’ after Justice remixed U2 one time. Feeling sad. Don’t even know ‘why’ I like/listen 2 bloghouse. Ashamed.

Sort of just want to listen to this song and eat seven 100 calorie snack packs. I think it is about ‘escapism.’

Remix #2: Chris Cornell – Part Of Me (Kleerup remix)

Not sure what bands Chris Cornell has been in. I think he was in that ‘really ghey and inauthentic band’ that was formed after Zach De La Brocha left Rage Against the Machine. I think ‘Rage’ h8ed the ‘rap bullshit’ that Zach De La Rocha wanted to make, but then realized that they ‘let some fruity rock diva bro’ into their band, and ‘wrote some ghey songs’, and then ‘got back together’ to ‘make money’ by playing at big festivals. Think Kleerup is branding himself beyond ’some bro who made electro songs for Swedish broads 2 sing on.’

Might start a band called ‘The Audioslaves’ because it is a metaphor about the modern music industry / signing a record contract / meeting expectations of fans and how that clashes with ur artistic existence.

Remix #3: U2 – Magnificent (Fred Falke Remix)

Think that Fred Falke has evolved into a guy who ‘makes authentic remixes’ by ‘high level artists.’ I wish that some1 could make me a spreadsheet that listed the price of remixes by every electro artist in the world. Think Daft Punk would probably be #1. The song is ‘okay’ but ‘kind of fruity’, but I think that’s mainly because it is U2.

Sometimes I wonder if there is a ‘point of diminishing returns’ when it comes to remixing a ‘huge artist.’ Sometimes I feel underwhelmed by the product, so it makes me think less of an ‘artist who I liked.’ Not really sure if there is a way to measure the overall ‘impact’ that a remix makes when it comes to ‘mainstreamers downloading it and looking for the remixer’s music.’ When do people even hear these ‘mainstream remixes’? When they buy an album on iTunes?

Yall. Have yall heard of the bloghouse artist LITTLE BOOTS? I read about her on the popular mp3 blog ‘perez hilton.’ She seems like she might be the next Madonna / Lady Gaga / Feist / Every Authentic Female Artist ‘rolled into one.’

I think she has been around, but I have never given her a chance until I saw that Fred Falke remixed her.
From what I can tell, she has a youtube channel that helps her to ‘market herself to tweens’, and she enjoys covering songs written by tween sensations.

I think her youtube videos go a long way to prove that she ‘has a good voice’, ‘can play the piano’, and most importantly, uses some sort of square gadget that makes electro music.

I think I might ‘develop a crush on her’ and dream about one day being in the room featured on her youtube channel. Then she could write a song about us ‘falling in love’ and ‘becoming youtube sensations together.’

Does n e 1 know if Little Boots is the next ________? Kinda feel like putting pressure on some1 to conform to my expectations of a similar looking/sounding artist, only for them to fail since they only know how 2 be themselves.
