n e ways… I am s000000000 stressed. Shoulda studied more all year! I am suuuch a procrastinator! It’s kinda weird cuz I actually like learning, and I like interesting stuff but I never study until the last minute! h8 myself! but it always works out. I usually pull ‘meaningful all nighters’ with groups of my closest friends. We put on our comfiest jogging pants and sweaters, and take over local coffee shops/dorm study lounges/other places that are better for socializing than studying.

My fave part about exam week is telling other ppl what I have 2 do. It is important that they know that my life is more important than theirs because I have more things to do, and the tasks which I must perform are more important than theirs. There is s0 little time between now and exams. I won’t get to do the things that I’d like to do for recreation, but sacrificing these desires once every six months makes me a complete person.

I can’t 4get 2 charge my iPod. Spent a couple of hours making an iTunes playlist called ‘Chill Ass Study Grooves.’ I have put a lot of kewl artists on it. Some of these artists include:

Studying with my iPod makes me more productive. I attend a university which gave all of the students Macbooks, iPod Nanos, and iPhones. These products make us better students, and make the university more marketable to high school students ‘looking for a unique place that fits their personality.’

Might try 2 make a cocktail of 5Hour Energy, Sparks, Red Bull, Rock Star Energy Drink, Vitamin Water, Pepsi Max, OneADay multivitamin, blow, CLIF Bars, Power Bars, and Chewy Granola Bars, and see if that gives me the ‘edge’ I need 2 ace my Psychology 101 course. S00 stressed. Our professor is s00 hard, but in the end it makes us ‘get’ the subject more. Kinda sux, but kinda good since it is making me more aware of the world. (Shoulda gone to design skewl so that I would be passionate about my courses.)

When you are building a personal brand, you want a brand so strong that people want to emulate it. Kinda like Michael Jackson when he was in the process of turning white. You want other people to want your life.

Picking your authentic alt career is difficult. Sometimes it takes a lot of hard work. Sometimes it means ’standing up 2 ur parentz bullshit expectations’ and/or ’societal norms.’ It means taking risks, going to college, not going to college, changing your major, taking a year off, and transferring to a school where u r socially comfortable+’academically stimulated.’ It means being yourself and being some one else. While ‘wanting 2 make ur parents proud’ is an innate within all humans, authentic alts are willing to rage against this desire. Your pride is the most important thing in the world. Your pride, your terms.

This is ur life.

Yall have a lot of options to express your personal brands. I’m sure I left out tons of options. Feel free to add some more to the comments.

In conclusion, it is just important to always remember the power of your alternative self, and the power of alternative free will. You are not functioning within the implied expectations of society. You will justify your life at any cost. You want people to understand that you are at your job for a reason. Even if you are just ‘working at a coffee shop before you move to NYC to get a job at a design firm after you get your portfolio of doodles+MSPaint files together.’

Never give up on you. You are special. Eventually, you will find a way to get paid for just being yourself. You have a unique perspective on the world, and eventually, you will find a way to let people know ‘who u really are’, establishing a platform where people will listen 2 u, and most importantly, want 2 b u. (kinda like God/Michael Jordan/theGirlTalk/Macauly Culkin circa Home Alone).

It just sux cuz I’ve had to work a lot since my Macbook crashed. I h8 making excuses to my bosses who ‘don’t get me’ and can’t appreciate how unique/cultured I am. To make money to finance my new iMac, I got a job in the electroConstruction industry. Usually I’d be embarrassed 2 wear a ‘poor person uniform’, but I think this neon construction vest really aligns with my personal brand.

Yall need to go to college so u don’t end up working menial jobs like me. If you attend college for at least 1 year, you will be guaranteed any job u want in the restaurant/coffee shop industry. It might even open doors to be ‘the guy who takes money’ at the door of a club.
