These are the greatest days to be an American
before the Chinese get better at everything than we are
before tweens grow up only knowing how 2 type in text format
before our attention spans are much shorter, and we can't even appreciate today's viral hits

Taking some time on the Fourth of July
to just 'watch the fireworks'
Gonna go inside soon and eat some hot dogs that my dad made on the BBQ
(He usually never cooks, says it is a woman's job)

I am gonna marvel at fireworks
(not cuz they were invented by AZNs
but because the are simple
they are like sharable memes from before the internet existed

I might even take out my camera and try to film them/take pix of them
but when I watch the footage later
it will look lame
and u won't be able to identify with the way i felt as I watched them explode.

PS: Got a seasonal job at a fireworks stand

Business has been crazy. We have a really good spot right outside of the city limits, and we listen to an iPod dock of cool songs all day. It's annoying having to explain pricing structures to people, but it's still been alright. Just trying to save up some money to move away from suburbia. I think I'll probably stick around until after New Year's Eve, since there is a ton of fireworks money 2 be made... feeling trapped...trapped in suburbia
but at least i get a solid job for my resume...

As yall know, I am a vegan/vegetarian. I am looking for a good alternative for 'serving turkey' on Thanksgiving. I wasn't able to make it home for this Thanksgiving, but fortunately, there's a few people staying behind in our dorm. Hopefully we can come together as a community to create a memorable experience. Even though the food might not be the best in the world, maybe we should be thankful for all of the options we have to eat in America/the World.
