Tracy Morgan Was Never Really that Funny.

I just read some story about Tracey Morgan going on some homophobic rant during one of his standup routines. Basically, he said that he would murder his son if he turned out gay, because you 'learn how to be gay' from the media:

Following the performance by Mr. Morgan, the comedian and “30 Rock” co-star, at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville on June 3, an audience member named Kevin Rogers described the show in a Facebook post titled “Why I No Longer ‘Like’ Tracy Morgan – A Must Read.”

Mr. Rogers, who said in his post that he is gay, wrote that Mr. Morgan said “gay is a choice, and the reason he knows this is exactly because ‘God don’t make no mistakes’ (referring to God not making someone gay cause that would be a mistake).”

He went on to describe Mr. Morgan as saying that “gay was something kids learn from the media and programming” and if his son were gay and talked in a high-pitched voice, “he would pull out a knife and stab” him to death. Mr. Rogers said he saw other audience members walk out of the show but that he remained behind and watched it in its entirety.

I've never really been THAT into Tracy Morgan, so this controversial moment gives me the opportunity to 'throw him under the bus' while every one else is running over him, too.

I hope that this is 'the beginning of the end of his career' [via Michael Richards]. I've never really been that into Tracy Morgan. I don't really 'get' why he would completely buy into and shamelessly sell the gimmick of 'being a stereotypical African American male', which is probably why he thought it would be safe to play up the whole homophobia bit. Maybe this bit would have 'totally killed' if he wasn't playing to a white audience. (If you think this statement is true, you may or may not be a racist.)

Whenever I watch Tracy Morgan do a 'sensational bit', I just feel like I am laughing at a black person who is perpetuating African-American stereotypes. The parts of me that find it funny are the same parts of my brain that are 'afraid of an African American homeless person' or 'scared of a group of young, black males who are more physically imposing than me.' Tracy Morgan really knows how to tap into the conditioned racism of Americans.

"Remember that time he played a black homeless person on SNL? He was so K00KY that it was funnie!"

It seems like his general jokes are just structured as, "I am black, therefore [sensational claim/statement]." Maybe that is really how he processes the world, though. Does that mindset resonate with African Americans? Is this how non-blacks perceive blacks as experiencing the world?

He is the black man who crashed the white man's party. He does not feel like he belongs, and gains acceptance by embracing the sambo stereotype. I find this clip to be 'totally hilarious', but maybe I am just laughing at 'what I think a black male is supposed to be' because I am a racist.

Does Tracy Morgan function as a 'think piece' about the condition and the perception of the black male in America, or is he an aimless artist looking to be 'totally sensational'?

I'm not even really that 'politically correct' or post-'politically correct', but watching Tracey Morgan has always made me uncomfortable, particularly in the 30 Rock era of his career.

From what I understand, Tracy Morgan plays a fictional character named 'Tracy Jordan', who basically just acts like a sensationalized version of who we think Tracy Morgan is, except maybe that's who Tracy Morgan is, and there is no difference between Tracy Jordan and Tracy Morgan. Anyways, I feel like '30 Rock' is probably just the most upscale black-face-wave show ever created because of the way that they use Tracy Morgan as 'negro comedy relief'.

Who is Tracy Morgan? It seems like most comedians enter a 'meaningful phase' where they want to use their platform to shed some light on the human condition. Usually a comedian gets really meaningful when they are in their prime, and they have an HBO special that resonates with America. I'm not sure if Tracy Morgan really has that in him. He seems content to just perpetuate African-American stereotypes, even if

Tracy Morgan is wearing blackface even though he is already black.

Do yall think he is funny?
Is he perpetuating stereotypes, and is that a 'bad thing'?
Why do u find Tracy Morgan to be funny?
Is his career 'over' [via Michael Richards] or does homophobic comedy actually endear you to Middle America?
R u in2 smart comedy because u watch NBC [via 30 Rock Office Parx and Rex]?
Does Tina Fey 'use' Tracy Morgan as a racist symbol in her show?
R u a subconscious racist?

Can’t believe the ‘flamer’ from Am Idol ‘came out.’

Yall probably remember my American Idol liveblog, where I watched AmIddy for the first time. There was a character on the show named Adam Lambert who 'seemed kinda ghey' but no1 was really sure. There were moments during the season where he did 'really gay stuff' but no1 was allowed to say he was gay or else he wouldn't get a record contract and Middle Americans/Christians are the only ppl who 'buy CDs'/'songs off iTunes' today. Not sure if Adam Lambert is 'a huge coward' for not 'coming out.' Maybe he didn't see the movie MILK so he doesn't understand what homosexuals have gone through. I feel like young people take 'the gift of homosexuality' for granted, and don't realize that we basically live in utopia.

Anyways, he 'apparently came out' and is now 'officially ghey.' Not sure if the bro in the picture is his 'lover' or if it is just a big fan of Am Idol. Can't believe his BF is 'an altbro.'

Do yall think that mainstream celebs should be forced to tell the world their sexualities? Or only the ghey ones? I wish that there was some sort of celebrity trading card where u could get the stats on a famous person. Or maybe homosexuals could wear some sort of 'scarlet letter' like eye liner, or bootcut jeans, or some other trend that u see in ur local homosexual circuit. Feel like they 'wouldn't mind.'

I am not sure if 'being ghey' is something that ur born with, or if it is a choice u make, or if it is 'bad parenting.' Probably 'a lil bit of everything.' I have heard that there is a problem in high schools where teenagers are 'being gay' just to rebel against their parents. Even though the kidz aren't 'actually gay' they see 'being a homosexual' as 'being an individual.' Tweens apparently see 'being gay' as some sort of decision that means ur 'more committed to ur individuality' than 'just wearing a Fall Out Boy t-shirt.' Feel weird that tweens who are 'not actually ghey' might be performing some 'very intense sexual acts.' Worried.

Wish either 'every1 was ghey' or 'every1 was straight' and we didn't have to deal with these issues. It makes more sense for ppl to all be 'straight' so that the 'human race' can 'live on.' Might start experimenting though.

Do yall know any1 who is a homosexual? What are they like? Are they 'just like us' or do you have to 'treat them differently'? Share your stories in the comments.

Can't believe Iceland elected an openly gay Prime Minister

Yall. This is a picture of 'the Ellen/Obama of Iceland', I think. She probably has a charismatic personality or something. Can't believe Iceland elected a homosexual into office. Makes me feel a little bit proud, but also really nervous. Not sure if I really 'believe' that she can turn the Icelandic economie around. Heard that it is really in the shitter because Iceland doesn't produce anything valuable for the world.

Feel sad that Sigur Ros and Bjork are Iceland's most valuable exports.

I think that Iceland is 'pretty doomed.' I feel like they lived so far away from 'civilization' that they started to build some sort of 'imaginary reality.' While that is good for 1-5 artists who become successful, I can't help but stereotype the rest of the population as being 'zany' and 'ppl who wear weird clothes.'

Feel sad that Iceland going to melt [via global warming]. Not sure if Iceland will be around much longer. Wonder if their educational systems are helping out, or if they just have arts&crafts programs instead of 'math.'

I wonder if Icelandic kids see Bjork just like American kids see rappers/athletes. I wonder if they think that 'I will be the next Bjork' and neglect cultivating functional skills that will contribute 2 society.

Does n e 1 know anything about Iceland? Worried about their economy.
Hope the lesbian President works out. Does n e 1 know if Iceland is one of the places where there is still 'mob violence' whenever they want 2 kill a politician/witch?
Is Greeland the new Iceland?
Do yall think the movie 'Milk' made this happen?

But srsly...
is America going to have a 'gay male' President or a 'lesbian' President first? What kind of 'ghey' will they be [via butch/bear/twink/etc.]?
R u going 2 'move 2 france' as soon as a homosexual is elected?

OMG who is that QT?

No... Not Elton John's old gay self (even though he is a true queen <3 )...
I'm talkin abt the bb!

Yesterday, we spotted Elton, husband David Furnish, and their baby son Zachary Jackson Levon Furnish-John spending some quality family time together during a tropical vacation.

Elton looked completely engaged with Zachary as he smiled and cooed to his son's amusement. After a short rest, the trio took off to enjoy the rest of their day in paradise.

****** WHAT AN EFFING QT BATOOTIE, BITCHES ****

I recently saw the movie MILK starring Chris Penn (R.I.P.), so this is definitely rlly inspirational 2 every1. More gays should have more rights to get their swerve on and have babies and get married.

#FreeTheGays

Congrats on ur bb, dadi! Let us know if u ever write a song as good as that 1 from the Lion King or that 1 about Benny and the Crocodiles.

Can u feel the love tonight? Elton sure can :-)

Lady Gaga and Shannon Gaga team up to vlog abt gay rights [via asking & telling]
</embed>

From what I understand, homosexuals are second class citizens in the United States of America. When they serve in the military, it is kinda unchill because the American government doesn't want 'fuu fuu' fighters to ruin the rest of the straight troops who are 'killing machines. Not sure if I 'get' it, but as u know 'better safe than sorry.' Don't wanna lose any wars just because we have homosexuals in the military. U never know if they might 'ditch out' on fighting, hit up a gay bar, do tons of poppers, have casual sex with multiple partners, then watch re-runs of Project Runway [via stereotypes of homosexuals].

Lady Gaga went ahead and vlogged about gay right's, telling u 2 tweet/email the government, and tell them to 'change.' Not sure if she authentically cares about gays, or if they just buy a lot of her albums, so this is just some sort of complex 'advertorial.'

It seems like this was some sort of co-branded marketing experiment with Shannon Gaga, who also decided to vlog in black and white. She makes it clear that she 'is friends with gay people' and that she is a bisexual.

</embed>

Shannon Gaga is so eloquent, yall. Read on her wiki that she was captain of her debate team. Feel like if u just want to go ahead and forward this post to ur local city councilman / senator / obama@president.gov, they will watch these videos and the laws will change.

Shannon makes a lot of good points. Compares gays to black ppls, hispanics, white people, other civil rights movements. Her phone goes off. Says she tried to call her senator but it didn't work. Says her parents are bigots who 'h8 fags.' Says she is 'open minded.' Says she is not using a teleprompter to speak.

U really can't say no to 2 gagas. Really glad two powerful people finally 'spoke up' on this issue. Kinda wish they'd stand up for bloggers soon.
Should gays be allowed to serve in the military?
Are 'don't ask don't tell' and 'racial profiling' both pretty chill practices that keep us safe from terrorism?
Should all gays be required to wear some sort of 'scarlet letter' or can u already kinda pick it up if u have 'strong gaydar'?
Does Lady Gaga 'care about gays' or is she just trying to make sure they buy her albums?
Does Shannon Gaga being a bisexual 'turn u the fuck on'?

Vampire Weekend keyboardist ‘comes out’, becomes part of Alt Celeb Power Gay Mafia

Vampire Weekend keyboardist Rostam Batmanglij has confirmed to to Out magazine that he is a homosexual, also known as 'gay' to the Middle America. While modern indie and alt music fans are 'supportive' of homosexuals, extreme conspiracy theorists wonder if he is not actually a homosexual, but was forced by his PR Agent to 'come out' to generate press after Vampire Weekend's #1 hit album Contra. Rostam also launched a 'tumblr blog' of his life.

Rostam joins Edward Droste and Owen Pallett as two of the most influential 'power gay' alternative celebrities.

Kele Okereke of Bloc Party is also a confirmed homosexual.

In addition, both members of the XX, Romy Madley Croft & Oliver "Ollie" Sim are rumored to be 'openly homosexual' but don't 'use it' as a PR tool [via being 'all about the music'].

wonder if the XX wants to be 'power gays'

Will the gay indie mafia 'take over' the alt scene in the 2k10 decade?
Are alt music websites 'pissed' that they didn't get the 'outing' cover story?

Was Lance Bass the ultimate 'outing' in the history of the world?

Is Vampy Weekend gonna be 'too gay' 4 yall now?

R u supportive of indie celebs 'coming out'?
Are indie/alt websites allowed to talk about the sexuality of artists, or will they just make a 'generic' supportive statement in order to stay in the 'good graces' of Vampy Weekend?
Worried that alt celeb sexual gossip might be 'stooping too low', but important to 'get in on the meme' 4 the sake of the fan.

Who is cuter, Rostam or David Archuletta?

Who else is on yalls indie gaydar?
