I always feel a little bit of pride when I see an alternative/indie/electro band on a mainstream late night talk show. It means 'we have made it.'
I was kinda pumped to see MSTRKRFT on Jimmy Kimmel Live, but then they sort of just focused on the rapper who raps over the song. Barely even saw the MSTRKRFT bros. Feel like I wasted my night since I stayed in just 2 watch it. The video probably isn't even worth watching, u just kinda get 2 see a mediocre rap performance while the rapper 'checks his phone' several times.
The black rapper guy named N.O.R.E. just tried 2 steal all of the attention cuz he kept twittering from his phone during the performance. Thought that was kinda rude/'trying too hard' to connect with fans. As I've said before, it's getting 'kinda annoying' to discover the lengths certain artists, celebrities, and politicians will go to 'create coverage for themselves' by doing something that seems 'innovative' but is actually an 'uninspired and poorly executed gimmick that involves some sort of social technology.'
I wish people would start to realize that twitter is the same thing as 'real life.' It's not a big deal when a celebrity signs up for twitter and then says 'sillie stuff.' We're all human, and we're all twittering at all times, whether we know it or not. Just getting kinda tired of 'omg, can't believe _____ said ______ on twitter coverage.'
Remember that time Justice was on Jimmy Kimmel and the had all of those zany impersonators? Wonder which 1 was 'trying too hard' 2 be a meme.
Lately, it's become pretty clear that Jimmy Kimmel is probably the late night show worth watching when you decide to watch a late night show once a month. They're the most willing to take chances on weird stuff. Even moreso than Conan in his early 2000s peak.
It's pretty interesting to think about 'indie' bands and these modern DJs performing on Late Night shows. I'm sure this is probably a new wave of 'creative performance models' that Animal Collective should have been able to use during "#1" on Conan. Acts or songs that aren't made to perform on stage of a late night show do need a little bit of flexibility. Even crazier than the typical Flaming Lips gimmicks.

Feist is arguably the most successful female artist of all time. Not only did her positive popwave vibes soothe the psyche of a mainstream nation, but her bangs made her a bonafide QT. Her latest album 'Metals' was pretty 'meh', and no1 really VIBED to it except her, but she recently played Kimmel, and u gotta admit... her bangs look BANGIN!
The weird thing about bangs is that when a girl has 'super perfect bangs', u start to wonder if they are hiding something... a huge forehead...acne... a huge crater on their forehead...
Feist also seems to be staying innovative by wearing a 'graduation tassel earring.' Seems youthful, maybe an updated version of those girls who wear one feather earring so that they look 'tribal' or something.

"Black And White" quality means it is super old, and super boring, because they didn't really have sweet video technology back in the day. It's no surprise that Late Night With Jimmy Kimmel Live producers decided to put Joanna Newsom's live set on their show in black and white, since it was 'mad boring.'
There's really nothing u can do to 'jazz up' a crazy lady playing a harp, so I guess it was a decent decision, but I'll bet they lost a ton of viewers who thought that their TV 'messed up', or that their local ABC affiliate was just showing some old, boring movie.
Feel kinda bad for her, like they 'shafted her hard', letting her know that she wasn't good enough 2 deserve 'HD color' coverage. Just like 'oops. sorry yall, we booked a lemon. Go ahead and change it if u want. Tune back in tomorrow and color will be fixed.'
Really thankful that we live in the 3D era of movies/tv. Might get 3d contact lenses so that my world will be totes spiced up.

I think Spoon has released some semi-relevant albums, and usually make a new one every few years. They are one of the many forefathers of indie rock who have morphed into 'cool dad' rock with a 78% crossover appeal to older 'rock n roll fans.' From what I understand, they have a new album. I think they get a lot of support because they have fans who 'still actually buy albums.'
Saw this live performance of "Who Makes Your Money" on Jimmy Kimmel Live. I wonder if this song 'sounds good on the album' but possibly 'doesn't translate well' to live TV. Felt boring. I feel sad for potential fans that they could have reached, but didn't really play something that sounded warm and approachable. This seemed too 'ambient and conceptual' for mainstream fans.
Not sure why Bradford Cox was on stage. Maybe he is still trying to plug Atlas Sound's album LOGOS. Seems like they were really just bro-ing down on stage, playing their guitars with shit eating grins.

Really didn't watch it all because I'm not an uninteresting girl who thinks she listens to an interesting/relevant/inspiring female band.
