Feels like Woodstock when bros ‘get naked’ and ‘put mud on their cocks.’ Heard that if u use mud, u won’t get an STD, and the chance of ‘pregnancy’ is reduced by 67%.

Overall had a lot of fun. I find out about a lot of new bands at music festivals. Don’t really use the internet for ’sampling/stealing’ tunes like most people. I just like to wander around public spaces, and see how people react to music in a live setting. Usually the most crowded stages are the best bands.

N e ways, the song “Knocked Up” by Kings of Leon is a meaningful song about wanting to have a child with some1 that you love, even though ur young. Not sure if that’s a message that I can identify with, but I think it’s fun 2 know that in the past, ‘raging against ur parents’ was by doing stuff like ‘getting a girl preggers’+’starting a family without much money.

Then I watched this KINGS OF LEON video for “Use Some Body.”
I think this video is probably the most important video in the history of music videos. It’s what the music video format has been working towards for over 50 years. It merges every important altRock aesthetic/gimmick into one video.

These aesthetics include:

• meaningful tour documentary
• singing into the camera and bein’ sad/meaningful
• live performance
• staged live performance
• aerial photos over meaningful city
• metaphorical stock footage
• embracing with a woman
• staged ‘candid’ shots to represent the band being true bros

This video makes me yearn 4 more late 90s/early 2Ks uninspired altRock videos.  I feel like Kings of Leon might be post-meaningfulcore, because they appeal to a new subset of fanBros who are searching for meaning, but want something ‘a little bit less indie.’ The song “Use Somebody” is a power ballad that will hopefully fuel meaningful montages at the conclusion of television series’ & sporting events.

I feel like they are probably the first band that ’started out as indie’ but then somehow rebranded themselves as ‘mainstream altr0ck’, which now means ur going to get DCFC mainstream&alt news source coverage of them for the next 5-10 years.

Kind of like how in NSYNC, there was like the ‘kute one’, the ‘fat one with spikey hair’, and ‘the gay one’ and probz a few more–don’t remember. It’s just funnie how as bands become products, we can’t help but evaluate each member as a brand. Consumer subliminally pick their ‘favourite one’ who they would pretend they would be if they were in the band.
