I saw the cover of Metronomy's new album NIGHTS OUT 2day, and I couldn't help but wonder if Metronomy was aligning their personal brand with Honda/hybrid cars.

I wonder what it's like to feel alone in the world and only have my Honda Insight.

How do u feel about people who drive Hybrids? Are they authentic, or are they trying2hard-core?

Should I take this Prius limo to prom?

Maybe the album cover is just a statement about how bros have so much on their mind these days since gas prices are so high + it's hard 2 be in a healthy, drama-free relaish these days.

AltBros: Were they put on Earth to die alone?

I think we're all used to experiencing music/events/shows that are sponsored by a product. However, most of these experiences are not authentic enough for us or they are just poorly executed.

I enjoy this Metronomy Remix by Breakbot which is a song produced [via] a remix project sponsored by Bacardi. Should we commend the Bacardi talent scouts for picking some solid Blogville artists? Is it better than the approach Converse took to pay a lot of money to Pharrell, Julian Casablancas and Santogold to write a song that supposedly appeals to alternative circles? Is the goal of reaching alt-markets to get any kind of 'publicity' or 'authentic publicity'?

I am a fan of remixes being commissioned by companies who are looking to reach alternative audiences if they pay good remixers to remix songs that I would be interested in. Sometimes I feel like it's the same circle of 'creative artists' ripping off the same large company for 1.5 years. I am also comfortable DLing this product from Bacardi because I don't have to sign up for some service/mailing list, either.

This song is so good that it could be an authentic theme song for a vintage and/or modern sitcom which provided an entire generation with relevant opportunities for self-reflection. It will remind u of how 'back then used 2 be the best of times & the worst of times.'

As DiscoWorkout described, I think this "Heartbreaker" remix of Metronomy's "Heartbreaker" is a cheesy epic house remix that u will probably get tired of, but it does have some value to ur mp3 collection.

This remix kind of makes Metrie sound like Bloc Partie.

I like this Lifelike+Kris Menace Collab. Sounds kind of 'intelligent.'

I think this track is somewhere between 'authentic disco', 'house', and 'bloghouse.'

While I have never actively liked Metronomy, I think I might start if their next album is decent. They are always solid remixers, so hopefully I don't get too weirded out by their upcoming material/music videos.

Whenever I hear Metronomy, I think they have coloured skin.
