If given the opportunity to march into a busy city center and set some cars on fire, and take some interesting photographs of yourself in front of riot police & burning cars, would u do it? Take a picture of yourself 'looking crazy' in front of some damaged property, looking 'like a boss.'
Chill, Azn bro.
Before you die, do u want to jump over a burning BMW?
Seems chill... Maybe they should add this event to the X-games.
I am sorta wondering 'why' riots happen in the Western World any more. It makes sense if you have a dictator bro who is totally killing ur society's vibe, but things are generally 'pretty chill' in North America and Europe. This 'riot' apparently took place after the Vancouver Canucks lost the Stanley Cup Finals to the Boston Bruins. Do u think these bros 'seem sad'? Are they just letting out some angst? Or are they just using the context of a sporting event's outcome in order to create a meme-worthy event?
The spirit of the modern bro seems pretty chill, so most of these bros seem like they are just trying to search for a sweet Facebook default opportunity.
Sports bros are pretty chill, they just like to chill out in front of the TV, drink some brewdawgs with the bros, fire up ESPN.com, and just throw down an argument abt sports.
But I guess there are a few bros who legitimately 'think that they are anarchists' and want to rage against the societal machine. I wish they just did it during normal working hours, instead of giving hard-working bros a bad name by 'using' sporting events as an excuse to riot.
Would u be an 'authentic rioter' or a 'post-ironic rioting bro who is just checking out the vibe'?
Hopefully they can clear the broken glass soon because I need to pick up some cash to pay at this CASH-ONLY bagel shop right next 2 my mediocre office job downtown.
It would be great to take out my middle-class resentment on SEARS because my mom made me wait there for 2 hours while she bought a new washer & dryer when I was 6 years old.
Even this tomboy broad was able to vibe out like a free-spirit at the riot.
Shamu seems like he a real chiller whale who just wants to go 'see what's goin down' and only perform property damage 'if every1 else is.'
But I guess there are some bros who get 'way too violent' after drinking 20 brewskies. They'll usually hurt themselves, start a fight, or needlessly damage some property. Every group of friends has 1 bro like that, so maybe every agro-bro in the city united to create this sweet situation.
Really beats a bro's night in playing Guitar Hero
'They say u haven't had a gasm until u gasm-ed in the middle of a riot.'
Meaningful bonding sesh with some bros.
Wishing our team had won.
But at the same time
Every1 wins
because our city threw down TONS of bloggable content
This is our town
We can totally eff it up if we want 2.
Are riots born from authentic societal angst?
Are Canadians naturally violent ppl? Or do they just rlly care abt hockey 2 much?
Does Vancouver seem like a 'beautiful city'?
What is the most authentic city in the Great Northwest: Portland, Vancouver or Seattle?
What if I told u that some filmmakers debuted a documentary abt the Electric Daisy Carnival, and that the spirit of rave-wave vibes were so strong, that a MASSIVE RIOT started in the streets of Hollywood at the film's premiere? I don't know what it is abt EDC... They got tons of negative press after ppl died at their annual festivals, then they got ran out of town and forced to go to Vegas. But now some1 made a documentary abt the festival, then some electro house DJ was like "IM HAVING A FREE SHOW" [via twitter]. Tons of Los Angeles area electro tweens + aggressive bros came out, and they cops were like 'THERE'S 2MANYPPL [via 2manyDJs]!" and no1 wanted to leave bc every1 probably thought they were VIP, then when they found out that they weren't VIP, they started 2 riot.
A DJ set by Kaskade at the premiere of the Electric Daisy Carnival documentary, "Electric Daisy Carnival Experience," was shut down by police Wednesday evening in front of Grauman's Chinese Theatre when masses of fans spilled into Hollywood after Kaskade announced a live performance via Twitter. As the police attempted to disperse what turned into a huge gathering, crowds reportedly turned on the police and started throwing objects at them.
Soo many electro tweens. Maybe I should move 2 LA and become an alt DJ and become a 'God' bc I have 100k followers on twitter.
I heard all of those electro bros actually thought they were at a rave, so they went 'wild'n out' on the streets of LA.
Police said they were responding in force to several hundred people throwing bottles and other objects outside the premiere of the film version of a rave at Grauman's Chinese Theatre.
Several people jumped onto a squad car, but police said they could not confirm reports of a squad car on fire.
Poor dubstep bro. Seems like he just brought a CD binder and wants 2 vibe to some DJs.
Check out this bro... All he wants 2 do is rave. But the electro-h8ing 'pigs' are hauling him away.
Apparently some house DJ totally ruined this 4 every1.... Some bro named 'Kaskade'. In case u were wondering, he DOES have a soul patch.
Kaskade had tricked out a flatbed truck with his equipment -- and had planned to roll up, play two songs and head into the premiere, Los Angeles fire officials said. The event was permitted by the Los Angeles Fire Department, which planned a 30-minute lane closure of Hollywood Boulevard "with amplified music on the back of a flatbed truck," according to the permit.
About 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Kaskade tweeted to his 92,000 Twitter followers that he was heading to Grauman's Chinese Theatre for a block party: "ME+BIG SPEAKERS+MUSIC=BLOCK PARTY!!!"
But as people began showing up, Duddie said it became clear that "a crisis was headed our way."
I might buy a 'flatbed truck' tricked out with DJ equipment, just to pick up 15 year old chicks at my local AMC movie theatres.
Anyways, the cops brought out some riot gear, and regulated on all of these ravers.
Whose side r u on?
#TeamRaveElectro or #TeamCityOfLosAngeles?
Do ravers need 2 behave?
Is 'electro' being glorified as 'the modern version of the punk movement', or are unregulated electro-fests actually a legitimate health and safety hazard that needs 2 be stopped?
Is it time 2 finally end the ELECTRIC DAISY CARNIVAL brand?
This may or may not be a metaphor for electro music's fight 4 acceptance in California.
Tyler the Creator's bad week can't possibly get any worse. After a disastrous 8.0 from Pitchfork, which would have been ~6.7 if he wasn't playing their festival this summer, it seems like Tyler the Creator finds himself in the headlines again. Apparently, he had an autograph session, except it was poorly planned, and ppl couldn't get in, so then they all got all mad, and they 'rioted', and were probably all pissed even though 'autographs' don't mean anything, so they were just like 'let's just sit around and wait for something 2 happen.'
The situation began when "hundreds" of people showed up for the signing only to find that you had to obtain wristbands earlier in the day in order to get autographs. Police and store owners promptly cancelled the signing, with police escorting Tyler out of the back of the building as the crowd "converged" on them.
According to WHDH, a 13-year old girl was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct. During the commotion a police officer slipped, hurt his back, and was hospitalized (he's since recovered and has been released from the hospital).
I wonder if there was 'mad tension' between blipsters and 'music blog reading white ppl.'
Tommy Drummond seems chill. #TeamTommy
I'm sure 'the crew' 'pumping up' the fans didn't help. I'm sure it's only a matter of time before the local police force starts headhunting the horrorcore rapper, attempting to 'bring him down.'
You know the old saying...
"It's not a riot until a tween is arrested and an officer slips on a banana peel."
It's really a shame that Tyler the Creator 'uses' Twitter the 'wrong way', filling it up with hateful anti-black, anti-white, and anti-gay doctrines, so he couldn't tweet valuable information to his fans about VIP wristband pickup information.
Here is some 'Fox News Local' video that seems like it is from the 1990s [via anti-rap+black undertones].
Who should be held responsible 4 this botched autograph signing?
Should local authorities 'press charges' against the band/label/management?
Do u ever get the feeling that Ty Pennington the Creator's buzz is 'a little bit too toxic'?
Was this a 'real riot'?
Could a 'more orderly solution' have been found, or are 'rap fans' impossible 2 control? [via racist stereotypes]
Why do u think all of those ppl were there even though he only got an 8.0?
I think I might write a screenplay about the officer who slipped and hurt his back, except it will be his lasy day on the job, and he will die bc he was trying to 'stop the riot.'
Apparently, there was some 'monetized rave' in Los Angeles called Electric Daisy Carnival that drew 185,000 people to the Los Angeles Coliseum. I think this is a new business model, since there are so many old/unused stadiums in Los Angeles, and so many teens who want to get into the alt/electro scene. Wonder how much money they made from this event. Usually they just care about profits, and don't really care about security/facilities management. I feel bad for the wannabe-ravers whose parents read the newspaper and then will never let them go to their local movie theatre just cuz things are so crazie.
Seriously, tho... some1 is gonna die at 1 of these things within the next 2 years based on 'the craziness' of this video.
The video opens with tons of alts trying to break down a fence/squeeze through an opening, then they end up trampling eachother. Sorta weird to see so many LA ravers/tweens in this 'life or death' situation. Would expect this if they were waiting in line for 'food/survival', but they seem to be 'chasing the party.' Feel sad for this girl for getting her face jacked up.'
Can't believe so many alts fought with cops. I am so used to hanging around with higher-level alts that I don't understand the 'class struggles' and stuff like that going on with formative alts. Feel relieved that I am not trying to find my identity at electro raves, searching for something more than just a Hot Topic vibe at a local mall.
Seems 'poetic' to watch some of this while u hear Steve Aoki DJing in the background.
Should the people who threw this rave 'be thrown in jail'?
Have u been to an alt-teen-aimed electro rave in Los Angeles that was a huge health and safety hazard?
Will Los Angeles and its surrounding suburbs 'shut this type of shit down'/bring in riot cops next time?
Should authentic raves not rely on police, fences, and riot squads?
Should the police just chill out and let these people get trampled to death?
Is Lil Jon the only person who can level with these people?
Do yall like watching girls in slutty rave outfits jump fences?
Are _____ people 'better at jumping fences' because they are 'used to running from the cops'? [via generic racist jokes]
Should they have converted the Coliseum into a jail, and just kept every1 imprisoned while this event was going on?
Is this video 'awesome'?
Which music festival /rave will have a 'casualty' due to poor management?
Have u ever almost died at a music festival /rave?
Drake is some 'new rapper who is evolving in2 one of the game's heavy hitters' [via people who call the rap genre 'the game']. He is a 'new, young hussla' [via rappers who call rappers 'hustlers']. There is no doubt that he will go all the way to the top, but not forget his roots [via rappers celebrating their rise, but never forgetting their roots and rapping about it]. He is also loved by the ladies [via rappers rapping about how many women they have boned and how big their butts are].
N e ways, some bro named Drake got an 8.4 from the popular music magazine Pitchfork Media. It seems 'controversial' since Pitchfork is an indie music website, but they gave a non-indie artist such a high score. Sorta feel betrayed, but maybe they are going after African American hits instead of the 'boring ass white man hits.'
It seemed like Drake scheduled some sort of 'victory concert' for his critical acclaim, but then it backfired, because all of his fans thought his album was 'perfect', and he should have had a 10.0.
Not sure why the riot happened. Maybe every1 just thought they were gonna get free Dippin Dots, but then they ran out.
It seems like people were having tons of 'relevant discussions' on the commercial + critical success of Drake. Then they all got angry and went 'wild n out' on 1 another.
Wonder why he got such a high score.
If u look at his 'liner', you can see that he thanked a bunch of indie bands, including Grizzly Bear, the XX, Neon Indian, Feist, Passion Pit, Diplo, Phoenix, and LeBron James.
Seems like the new 'popular brand' of rapper is 'a blipster who listens 2 all kinds of music, particularly indie buzz music.'
Feel like maybe they are all ripping off Jay-Z, or maybe indie music is a genuine inspiration to these rapper bros. Sorta wish I could become a blipster, then evolve into 1 of the greatest blipster rappers of our generation, not just based on my beats + lyrics, but mainly based on my indie music recommendations.
Maybe P4k gave him a high score because he supports the indie scene. Wonder if mainstream rappers supporting the 'indie scene' help the indie scene, or if they are just hurting 'us' by making our tunes more inauthentic. It makes sense that indie music appeals to the college bro demographic, but unsure as to how I'd feel if indie concerts get 'thugged out' [via dangerous black ppl].
Does DRAKE deserve an 8.4?
Would u ever riot over a Pitchfork score?
Does n e 1 know who Drake is/what he sounds like?
Do rappers deserve better scores than white indie artists? Is p4k hurting 'our scene'/the indie/chillwave brand when they give non-indie bands such high sores?
Is Drake a chill bro who rides chillwaves, or is he just 'hijacking our culture'?
Scared and worried. Not even sure what is happening. Never even heard this bro's music, but now he got a high score + incited a racial riot. Seems to have more 'pull' than the traditional indie artist.
American Apparel liquidates excess inventory of unwanted styles and sizes at branded rummage sales and flea markets. Many Am Appy fans / buyers go to these sales looking for 'good deals' but end up scavenging like animals for a few scraps of decent clothing.
At a 'Rummage Sale' in London, several thousand alts got 'shafted' because a riot broke out. I am not sure if this was really a 'riot' but maybe just a bunch of cranky people, a few bros going crazy, riot squad beating up a few people, then a bunch of other alts tweeting + youtubing it. Do u think they were 'pissed off' about not getting sweet deals?
2 many alts
not enough deals / capacity

Was this a 'real riot'?
Are 'hipsters' from the United Kingdom more violent than American alts?
Do u think they were pissed because they still felt like the clothes were still 'overpriced'?
Is London a hot bed of alternative angst?
Do cops / mainstreamers 'get' why an Am Appy Rummage sale is a great opportunity to get great clothes on the cheap?
Should I have made this headline "Hipsters riot over American Apparel in London" for more hits?
Did American Apparel 'stage' this for marketing purposes?
