I remember when Santogold came out, she was basically branded as an M.I.A. byproduct. Just another female rapper being 'eclectic' and wearing tights and sneakers. But now MIA has gone off the deep end and Santigold has 2 rebrand herself 2 put some distance between the looney Sri Lankan. So she is wearing a suit and tie, maybe trying to go 4 a classy Janaelle Monae vibe. Seems like a good career decision bc no1 takes MIA srsly n e more and she just seems hella 'dated.'
I have honestly never even really listened 2 Santogold, except in this Bud Light Lime commercial.
I wonder if her music is going 2 change.
