I was watching this MSTRKRFT interview which features some good insights into their brand, creative process, and showcases some of the best & worst habits of alternative celebrities.

At the 4:20 mark in the video, the MSTRKRFT bros start talking about remixes, and go pretty in depth into their remixable criteria manifesto.

Do you enjoy MSTRKRFT Remixes? I've read a few HRO comments about songs or the way people look that say "I think this would be better if MSTRKRFT remixed it." Do you buy into the theory that MSTRKRFT can fix any thing?

I've never been particularly into their originals, but I think they are probably pretty socially relevant in terms of 'being a 2 man electro act that was a pioneer in learning how to capture the hearts of Generation Y clubgoers.' When it comes to modern indie music, I think they might be one of the band/producers most responsible for 'Americanizing' the current state of electro-club-dance stuff.

Whenever I hear a MSTRKRFT songs, I end up somewhere within this range of conclusions:
BAD CONCLUSION: "Why do people like MSTRKRFT so much?"
OKAY CONCLUSION: "I don't 'get' this, but it's probably really good if I knew a lot about the history of electronic music."
GOOD CONCLUSION: "This is pretty good."

How to you feel about MSTRKRFT's body of remix work. Do u wish they stuck to remixing lesser-known bands like Metric or New Young Pony Club? Or do you like this new phase where they are remixing Usher, Jesse McCartney, and who knows who else within the next 2 years? As alternative markets continue to transition into mainstream markets, MSTRKRFT could continue to be a critical intermediary between both worlds.

Honestly, I wish i was a bit more greedy. Then I would be working this really bad temp job where I am paid minumam wage. In addition my commute to work usually takes a significant portion of my paycheck because of gas and food snacks. I should probably be working at the McDonalds by my apt, but my ex is the manager and there is NO WAY he will hire me after the tumultuous end of our relationship. I can't even EAT there, much less flip burgers and bread nuggets there!

Usher is a MOGUL. He invented Justin Bieber and is a GENIUS. He also has a SEXY BOD bc he is a great dancer. I really need to start going back to my Zumba classes so I can drop some weight and STAY ACTIVE while I am listening to some of today's best pop music.

I need to buy stock soon so that I can be rich too, but I also want a new blouse from Ann Taylor Loft, so something's gotta give...

Usher is WAY BETTER THAN MJ. Ur a God, bb! Keep bein a SEXI MOGUL.

USHER IS EFFING BACK, YALL

Check out this video for "More" with tons of awesome live footage. My girls and I went to an Usher concert recently, and even though we had nosebleed seats in a basketball arena, the show was still amazing (Honestly we did a little bit of prepartying with some appletinis, but that's not why Usher is the best.

If u asked me, Usher is way more talented than Michael Jackson. Better singer, dancer, producer... Doesn't get better than Usher, yall.

U gotta feel bad for Usher's kids. Not because there is a chance that they come from multiple mothers [via racial stereotypes]. Ever since he created Justin Bieber, u have 2 assume that he only really cares abt manufacturing pop stars instead of taking the time 2 truly love his spawn.

Feel really bad abt his kids. Like in 10 years we are gonna hear abt their downfall, and then they will do an interview with Larry King/Barb Walters/Piers Morgan abt how they were unloved and Daddie Usher only cared abt his white son with silky smooth hair.

Is Usher a good father, or does he need 2 spend less time with adopted tween stars and get serious abt his own spawn?
